    Q:Contractor is using these to install exterior cedar siding. Looks a lot different than the nails in my old siding. Are these nails strong enough to hold up when the wood starts to warp? Also worried about staining over time

    A:  Not really a good choice for cedar shingles not enough of a head on em they will probably pull through. They make cedar shingles nails that go in coil nailers I'd look into those instead or hand nail them with the right nails don't see those working out very well.

      A:  Hello Skynet. The Paslode nails should be strong enough to hold cedar. However since the nails are galvanized and not stainless steel we do not recommend use on exterior applications. The rain and other elements could cause the nails to rust.

          A:  Hello Stoof this 16 Ga Straight nail should work with the Porter Cable Straight Pneumatic Nailer. We recommend using Paslode tools and fasteners together to get the best performance. I would also suggest making sure your tool accepts straight nails that are 2 inches long. #FinishItToTheNextLevel

            A:  Hello Sergio. Great question galvanized nails can be used outside. However they will oxidize overtime which can cause discoloration of the nail. We recommend using nails with a Stainless Steel finish which has a higher resistance to natural elements such as water.
