Florescent bulbs have several "standard" diameters. Typically measured in 8th of an inch. The T8 tubes I purchased are 8/8 the or simply 1 inch. The somewhat older (and larger) size is T12 or 12/8ths or simply 1.5 inches. T5's are 5/8th you get the idea. Generaly smaller diameters are more efficient.

The bulbs I bought are not intended for growing, instead look for the brand name gro-lux.Quick spec are 3400K Color Temperature, 89 Cri There may be other horticultural tubes but I used to use these. Sadly the product is being replaced by LED arrays that are MUCH more expensive although you may have to pay 20-25 for each fluorescent tube Tube
