A: The bulb will still re-connect to your wi-fi when power is restored. You can use the WiZ app settings to to determine what the power on behavior will be for your bulbs
A: You can out it into any lamp and connect it. No smart home device needed. You can download their app on your phone called Wiz and control it etc.
A: Yes - you can install this into an existing light fixture. In order to access any of hte smart features you would need to pair this bulb to your Wi-Fi using the WiZ app
A: You will need the Phillips bridge for this one. HD also sells another Phillipsmowned brand called “Wiz” that does not need a bridge. I have both, and they both work well. The bridge enabled ones (Phillips) are more consistent with their connection and don’t drop as much as the Wiz. That said, it only happens once every few months, maybe….
A: The MAC address is different for each product. The easiest way to find it is on the bulb itself or on the product packaging. Once the bulb has been synced to your wi-fi you can also see the MAC address within the Wiz app in the settings
A: Yes - this is compatible with the Philips Wi-Fi remote also no known as the WiZmote
A: To be honest I have no idea, but I utilize the app, which u can download in your phone WIZ, and can control lights, change colors, brightness and scenes. Or you can pair /w Amazon Alexa, and verbally control lights off/on and colors.
