With an actual inside diameter 1/2 in. greater to accommodate the thickness of our Wrap, this 3 in. Oak Cap and Base trim set will add an elegant finishing touch that completes the installation of Pole-Wrap giving it the look of a classic fluted column. These mouldings are made of solid red oak and sanded smooth ready for your custom finish. Bring out the rich natural wood beauty by simply finishing with two coats of polyurethane.
  • Use this model size for 9-1/2 in. circ (or 3 in. Dia) columns - actual trim hole size is 3-1/2 in. Dia to fit over Wrap
  • Premium solid red oak for finest appearance
  • Installs quick and easy with construction adhesive (e.g., liquid nails - not included)

Q:What size cap is needed for the 12" wrap ?

Answer This Question

A:  That depends on the diameter of your column before it is wrapped. A 12 in. Wrap with cover both a 3.0 in. and 3.5 in. diameter. Measure the circumference around the column to determine. A 3.0 in. column has about a 9.5 in. circumference, and a 3.5 in. has an 11.0 in. circumference.

        A:  All Pole-Wrap products are unfinished natural hardwood or MDF. The hardwoods are easily finished with two coats of polyurethane, but can also be stained or painted to match your decor exactly. Our MDF products should be primed with an oil, alcohol or lacquer based primer before applying a paint finish which can be latex if you choose. If you are going to color paint our hardwood products, any quality brand primer, water based latex, oil based or otherwise, will perform well.

              A:  Yes, Pole-Wrap can be used to wrap a drain pipe. Be sure to select correct model size based on diameter. This can be calculated from circumference measurement.

                Answer This Question

                A:  You can use our Cap & Base trim moulding without the Wrap. Just understand that the inside diameter of our mouldings are cut one half inch greater than the specified application size on the box. This extra half inch is to accommodate the thickness of our Wrap. So, for example, if your column as an actual diameter of 3-1/2 inches (circumference measurement around the column divided by 3.14), then you would chose our 3 inch application size, which has an actual inside diameter of 3-1/2 inches.
