Q:Should you shock the pool first let it sit for one hour then pour the floc in it and let it run for 30 mins to a hour?

Answer This Question

A:  Hi Ramm. We are the manufacturer of PoolTime products. Before starting the floc treatment you'll want to have the chlorine in the ideal range (1-4 ppm) which could be achieved by shocking if the level was low. Getting the chlorine level in that range before starting the floc treatment will help prevent issues while the pool remains off for 12-24 hours. Please give us a call at 800-252-7665 if you have any further questions. We are available Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm EST.

Q:I have a 7613 gallon above ground pool and it is very cloudy. How much should I use to be able to clear it up?

    Answer This Question

A:  Hi Lisa, We are the manufacturer of Pool Time products. Our Sink to Clear Flocculant should only be used in pools that have the ability to vacuum to waste. The dosage on our Sink to Clear Flocculant is 8 ounces per 10,000 gallons which calculates down to about 6 ounces for your approximately 7600 gallon pool. We do not recommend the use of Sink to Clear Flocculant in pools that cannot be vacuumed to waste. If you have any other pool care related questions, please give our Technical Solutions Team a call at 1-800-252-POOL (7665). Thank you.

A:  Hi Kimberly. We are the manufacturer of Pool Time products. For best results, we recommend that the pH be adjusted to 7.5 to 8.0 prior to use. We then recommend applying the product through the skimmer basket at a rate of 8 ounces per 10,000 gallons and allowing the pool to circulate for two hours, before turning off the pump to allow the pool to sit undisturbed for 12 to 24 hours. After this time, we recommend vacuuming the pool to waste, to remove all settled material from the pool. We only recommend this product be used in pools that can be vacuumed to waste. If you would like to troubleshoot your experience with our product, we would be happy to provide our suggestions on clearing your pool, once we know more. Please give our Technical Solutions Team a call at 1-800-252-POOL (7665) to discuss further. Thank you.

        Answer This Question

A:  Unless you are able to vacuum up what settles using the pump..this will not work..everything will settle to the bottom , will need to be vacuumed out.

        by|Aug 23, 2022

A:  Hi Greenpoolmisery, We are the manufacturer of Pool Time products. We would not recommend the use of our Sink to Clear Flocculant in your 2,640 gallon pool with a tiny filter. This product is only recommended for pools that can be vacuumed to waste, which is not typically a characteristic of smaller pools. Please give our Technical Solutions Team a call at 1-800-252-POOL (7665) so that we can assist you with troubleshooting your pool's algae problem and provide treatment recommendations. We look forward to speaking with you soon. Thank you.

            Product worked!
Almost didn’t buy due to bad reviews, but tried it & was great! (+cheaper!!!) Pool had heavy build up of algae. Used (plain) shock to kill the algae (took about 4x the shock and a few days. Then poured a bottle of this in with the sand filter set to recirculate. Ran the pump for about 3 hours on recirculate, then turned the pump off and let it sit for about 40 hours. Then vacuumed with the pump set to waste.

Little more work, must vacume (SLOWLY) - 100% works!
Couldn't figure out what was wrong. Algae was taking over we shocked 4x the amount, kept the Chlorine levels north of 15 ppm for like a week, still green. Clarifyer wouldn't work. Added just a bit over the amount stated on bottle, and voila, everything settled algae was definitely dead and ready to be vaccumed out ... 100% recommend!

Simple to use. Works exactly like its supposed to. Followed the directions on the bottle and it worked perfectly. We tried everything to clear up our cloudy pool. This stuff was the only thing that worked! Just vaccumn really slowly by hand, so you don't mix it back into the pool water.

My pool was cloudy and the product helped me get rid of the dead algie. It weighted down the dead algie and I vacumed it to waist. The next day the water was crystal clear.
