How long is 8?11/16 pool filter
All my previous filter cartridges had a circular piece of plastic inside the middle of it. I bought this one and it doesn't have that. Could I have bought a faulty filter, or is that just the way these are made
You bought the right filter. No replacement filter comes with the circular plastic cap. I have bought many times the same filter and no plastic cap ever came with it. You will be OK using the filter you picked up.

Just make sure the size must be 8-15/16 In. Diameter. = There are a few replacement for the C-900 90 Sq.Ft. It, and if any doubt just check the internet. There you will find 90 SQ and the dimensions that are offered by several companies. There are all the same. The one I buy from Home Depot, fit perfectly.
yes perfect. it is 8.5 in in diameter and 14in high, but the pump has a base and a dome top so it fits right in..shut off the power, unscrew the pump lift lid off, pull out old filter, see if water is brown and gross. If not, you can rinse out filter and use again, but if it is gross and brown and the water is not coming out of the holes in the pool..change it. will take you all of 3-5 min.
