A:  I used a large compressor set on 135 psi and was able to set the 15 gauge nails using a Dewalt Finish Nailer easily. I'm not sure what pressure yours is set to, but it may need to be higher. Hope this helps.

Q:Can this nail be used on an outside structure? If not, do you carry this same nail that can be used for outside use?

A:  This nail is designed for non structual indoor use only. It will eventually rust, or cause rust stains if used in Cedar, Redwood and Pressure Treated. Even if you set the depth below the wood surface and caulk over the nail head it can bleed rusts stains. You'll need to search for a Stainless Steel nail approved for use in ACQ Pressure Treated or common outdoor woods like cedar and redwood. If you don't mind the stains and rust it works well in craft items like birdhouses.

A:  I have used these on exterior trim and they will rust. I make sure to cover the nail head with caulking or plenty of paint. I hope this helps!

        by|May 5, 2023

A:  They are not galvanized or otherwise treated to prevent rust Keeping that in mind, it's a nail. In side or outside if you shoot it in it will hold

You get the crappiest product when you order from the app
The box of nails I ordered turned out to be a scattered bunch of nails in the shipping package along with a chewed up pile of cardboard that I suppose must be the box that the nails are stored in. Now I have to tape the box back together just so i can store the nails. Yay, I now have to work to fix the product .

I always have good luck using these in my Porter Cable gun. Never get any jambs and they drive straight and true every time. I do like the new paper box (as long as they stay dry).

Porter cable 15 gauge finish nails
The last steps in finishing a hardwood flooring installation involve face nailing the end pieces and then re-attaching the baseboard trim. I used a Ridgid 18v finish nailer with Porter Cable finish nails to assemble the last pieces of an install in three rooms... The client was happy with the quick turnaround of the project, and I was pleased with the nails which did not bend or break during installation, making my job look a lot easier ... Take a look at the finished product for yourself.
