Plants arrived quickly and in great shape; I ordered two. It has only been a couple of weeks since they arrived and I can see how quickly they are growing. They still look like a regular pineapple color wise, but I have faith they will become more reddish or pink with just a little more time. I have grown regular pineapples for a number of years and these look very healthy. I am pleased to try this new variety and because this color is so hard to find I am delighted Home Depot carried them online.

So today I received my plant for my mother and when she open it up the plant looked dead. She was so disappointed the plant didn't look nothing like the picture. We understand things happen but the way her plant looks it looks like it's on it's last whim. Let hope she can bring it back to life. Very disappointed customer.

Needs better packaging
1 star deducted for the packaging of the plants. My 2 pineapple plants arrived in boxes filled with dirt. It was obviously turned every which way during transit and they were not packaged in a manner that prevented them from bouncing around inside the box. The color of the plant leaves don't resemble the photo shown for this listing; they are a brownish color, not green. But based on other reviewer's photos, the color seems normal? If it weren't for those photos, I would have assumed the plants were dying. I guess I'll know in the coming days if they are dying or not.
