This igniter kit is designed for gas grills with a side burner. It is not designed for use with natural gas fireplaces and may not function correctly or safely in that application.
What brands can this igniter work on? I know it says its universal but sometimes this product doesn't work on all brands. I work at HD but I wasnt sure how to answer the customer question. Thanks!!

No, a thermocouple is not needed nor does it come with one. This is only a Piezo Ignition that does not require a battery or electric power.

All the parts you are likely to need plus a few extras are probably in this generic kit, but you may need to improvise and adapt a little bit. I adapted this kit to fit my older Weber grill.
