Q:Hi, if I manage to remove it without breaking the paint wood, how could I glue it again on the other chest of drawers? Any sage glue you could recomend to me please? It looks super glued at the moment. I am scared of removing it!

Answer This Question

A:  To remove a buckle, open the buckle all the way and twist it off. For difficult to remove buckles a removal tool or screw driver may be used carefully so as not to scratch or gouge the furniture. Place a business card or piece of plastic under a tack remover or similar tool to prevent scratches. Insert tip of tool under edge of fastener. Apply upward pressure (DO NOT PRY). The edge of the fastener will begin to lift up in 5-10 seconds. As edge lifts up, move tool inward with continued lifting pressure. When edge is high enough, remove fastener by hand. Remove any remaining adhesive by dabbing it off with the adhesive pad on the fastener. If a large piece remains, it should be "peeled" off (not rubbed off) for removal. The adhesive will not leave a surface residue. Removing the Velcro loop pads from the TV may leave a slight adhesive residue. This residue can be easily cleaned off with the use of a citrus-based cleaner. The removal tool, TL-AK (Accessory Kit buckle Replacement Pads, Removal Tool), Buckle Replacement Pads and Velcro Strap Replacement pads RP-2, can be purchased from Ready America for relocation purposes. Please contact customer service for the retailer where you made your original purchase and request these items or reach out to Ready America directly.

Q:We are purchasing a new TV and must remove the earthquake straps that are fastened to an armoire. The new TV is a different size and will not fit in the area where the straps are "glued" down. Is there a safe way to remove the straps (where they are fastened to the armoire shelf) without damaging the wood? Thanks

    Answer This Question

A:  Our Television Safety Straps are safe to use on finished wood surfaces; removal from your wooden armoire shouldn't damage the furniture. If you would like to aid in the adhesive letting go of the wood, you can try heating the area slightly with a heat gun / hair dryer, then use a taught string of floss to run between the adhesive pad and the surface.

A:  best to look at the removal straps instructions. If you do not have it, look online.

Quake Hold safety strap is holding a monitor, and the putty is holding my ceramics, tall candle holders, four (4) tall, to my 10'4" ceiling, plastic stacks of Stack Wine Cup towers, wine and other decorative bottles on the top of my kitchen cabinets. So far no earthquakes have moved them since we haven't had a big one, YET!!!

waiting for the Biggest Earthquake ever in California. It is coming along the Pacific Coast. In September 1969 I dreamed that I was standing on a beach watching a huge incoming wave, and to my left a river flooding into the sea. I said, "We have to get to higher ground"! Next scene: I was floating in the air in front of our neighbor's house, and looking North towards my parent's house on the hillltop in Atascadero, Ca. Water was around the edge of their hilltop a few feet from the house. End of dream. Years later using an altimeter on my bicycle, it read 1,000 feet above sea level on that hilltop.
