About This Product
The Emsco Group RESCUE 50 Gal. Terra Cotta Flat-back Rain Barrel features integrated planter and an easy-to-install, patented downspout diverter kit. The diverter kit fits 2 in. x 3 in. standard or 3 in. x 4 in. high capacity downspouts. The downspout diverter will route water to the rain barrel when raining and bypass the rain barrel when full. This rain barrel kit collects rainwater to be both environmentally-friendly and cost effective by reducing your dependence on municipal or well water. The diverter system does not have to be removed during the winter season and can be by-passed so that water flows through the downspout as usual, keeping water from getting into the rain barrel and freezing. The integrated planter can be planted into directly or a pre-arranged floral basket can be used to adorn the top of the rain barrel.

Does it include the cutting tool?
No. You will need a hacksaw and a drill with appropriate bits.
The material is listed as being "sandstone". Where as I thought that was just the color. Can someone please indicate with the material is. Is it a type of plastic?

Do you have to use a converter kit? Does it have a hole in the side to use for the converter kit? I want a solid barrel with only the holes to connect the hoses to. I do NOT want rainwater that runs off of my roof. Thank you for any help I can get.
This rain barrel comes with a diverter kit included which is designed to collect rainwater from your downspout. It has a hole specifically for connecting the included hoses and diverter. If you do not want to collect rainwater, you would not use the diverter kit or connect the hoses.

It is recommended that it be drained and turned upside down for the winter. It can also be brought inside.
