About This Product
The RIDGID 14 Gal. 2-Stage Industrial Wet Dry Vacuum has certified HEPA filtration and meets the EPA's definition of a HEPA vacuum under RRP rule for lead paint renovations. It also offers large capacity, rugged construction, and excellent mobility for pro, contractor, industrial and commercial use. The dual blower wheel is driven by an 11.5 amp, 2-stage motor to deliver the heavy-duty, high-lift suction needed to efficiently handle the toughest wet or dry worksite or shop cleanup tasks. The 10 ft. premium locking pro hose won't pull loose during use and is 4 times more durable than a standard hose. The vac's pro hose won't crimp providing optimum airflow. Additionally, the shop vacuum comes with 9 additional attachments so you can specialize to the job at hand. Use the utility nozzle for cleaning up larger areas while the crevice tool gets into tight areas. Choose the wet nozzle to squeegee liquid messes and the floor brush for dry messes on the floor. When looking for a deep clean for carpeted areas the turbo brush is the attachment to choose. The dusting brush will loosen stubborn dirt and debris and the 2 extension wands help extend reach. For a quieter operation, install the diffuser into the blower port. This unit also features a cord wrap and onboard accessory storage. Filtration includes a filter bag, HEPA filter and a cloth pre-filter to capture particles. Replace vac filters often for optimal vacuum performance (replacement filter HF1000; sold separately).

What bag should be used when the vacuum is being used for lead renovations? Is a certain bag required to meet RRP standards?
Hello Mark, Thank you for your inquiry about our product. RV2400HF comes with a cerftified HEPA filter (part number HF1000) and meets the EPA’s definition of a HEPA vacuum under the RRP Rule. In conjunction with the certified HEPA filter, the vac should also be used with a pre-filter (HF0500) and an optional filter collection bag (VF3502) which have been designed to block or capture a majority of the debris entering the vac before it comes in contact with the certified HEPA filter. Using these added layers of protection will help preserve the effectiveness of the certified HEPA filter over time and allow it to last longer. VF3502 dust bags can be purchased at your local Home Depot Stores and at www.homedepot.com. can I use this if I'm cleaning dust with possible asbestos?
Dear Jimmy, Thank you for your inquiry about our products. RV2400HF is appropriate only for lead paint cleanup under EPA’s RRP rule. It should not be used for any hazardous material such as toxic chemicals, explosive or flammable material including asbestos. It’s important to note that you should not use a HEPA vacuum, or any other vacuum, for asbestos abatement. Asbestos is a very harmful material that causes cancer. It should only be removed by specialists trained to do so. The Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that asbestos in good condition be left alone, while asbestos that is deteriorating or in a high-traffic area should be encapsulated or removed by a professional. Sanding, sweeping, drilling or vacuuming asbestos or near asbestos can send asbestos fibers into the air, which, when inhaled, can cause lung cancer. At this time, we don't have any vacuum that meets this requirement. Regarding the hose, could you please confirm whether the end-hose adapter is broken or has become loose from the hose? If so, the adapter can typically be reattached by screwing it back onto the corrugated portion of the hose by turning it counterclockwise.
