Q:When is this going to be available? The 1/2" one as a bare tool is and the combo pack with this 3/8" impact is, but the bare tool isn't.

Amazing subcompact impact wrench
I bought this product about 2 months ago and I absolutely love it. I just did all the suspension on my car and it was super handy for reaching tight spots. I use this in combination with my ridgid 1/2 brushless mid torque and I haven’t met a bolt I couldn’t overcome between the two. Perfect for zipping off lug nut and reaching into all those tight spaces. Great value and an amazing tool

Compact well balanced variable speed 3/8" impact wrench with three speed ranges and an Auto mode
This is a really outstanding 3/8" drive impact wrench. I would call this mid-torque. It is not for taking lug nuts off a cement mixer! It is super handy for medium applications where the compact shape is needed. It is very compact (in diameter and in depth) and has three bright LED lights spaced around the nose to illuminate your work without any weird shadows. It uses a friction ring to hold the socket in place. I got it as a bare tool - it uses RIDGID 18V batteries, which I had already, so this makes for a very good value. The balance of the tool is great, very neutral in your hand with a battery attached. It comes with a metal belt clip (I don't always use it on an impact - I do like them on the drills). It can be removed easily and can also be mounted on either the left or right side depending on which side you want to hang it. The impact has three speed settings and an automatic setting called "A". Setting 1 is low. Setting 2 is medium. Setting 3 is high. Auto mode "A" is useful and does different things in forward and reverse. When you are removing a fastener in auto mode it will impact on high until it starts spinning then slow down. If you are tightening in auto mode, it will spin on quickly then stop when it begins impacting to avoid over tightening. The tool is variable speed - it goes faster than more you pull the trigger. In low (1) max is 800 rpm. In high (3) it maxes out at 2800 rpm. If you register your tool, you can also get their lifetime service agreement.

Great Subcompact Impact Driver
RIDGID…. 18V Sub Compact Brushless Cordless 3/8 in. Impact Wrench, this little impact wrench more than met my expectations, this 3/8 impact wrench has a powerful Brushless motor with a break away torque of 250 ft./lbs., it has 4 modes 3 speeds and an auto tightening mode which stops tightening to prevent over tightening and in reverse it stops when the nut or bolt is loose, it has variable speed trigger, I really like the Tri-beam LED it Gives you plenty of light without the shadow, it is compatible with all RIDGID 18V batteries and of coarse the Lifetime service agreement. This is a great tool; I will use this tool daily.

Great Light duty impact wrench
This product while it probably won't remove wheel lug nuts will however loosen and tighten most other bolts and nuts but only has a 250 ft. lbs. in breaking force which is not very high to today's standards for most fasteners. I would recommend this product to any DYI'er who needs to loosen or tighten some fasteners around the home or work placeor even some on vehicles.
