Does the job well!
Just bought this today, filled it with chain oil and 2 stroke gas and it fired right up. Cut down a bunch of trees as pictured. Works really well for what I need, really impressed!

    Tough little consumer saw
I used this saw to take down a large oak tree. Working slow I managed it in 3 weeks by myself and this saw. I bought an extra chain to avoid extra time sharpening (plus my sharpening skills suck). I still had to try sharpening and made it to where I could cut a complete circle in a 2 ft log. Well, almost. It can sometimes take a few extra pulls to get started, but after that it's one- or two- pulls to start. It feels like you could run it wide open for days and it wouldn't burn up. Which brings me to the cons: It can get really really hot. I mean 'cook your sausage' hot. I got 3rd degree burns on one finger from a slight brush up against the bottom without a glove. I started wearing gloves after that, all the time, even in the bath. And even with gloves on it could get very hot at the handle. Second, the brake bar is a pain. In high-up, one-handed situations I would bump it against a limb just a little too hard and the chain locks. I would have work to get re-situated so I could reach the lock bar with my left hand to unlock it while holding the saw with my right. I would definitely NOT use this in a business application, but it's a great buy for someone like me who will use it only occasionally. That tree was the last time I will ever tackle something that large. I wish I had some antlers or something from it to hang on my wall.

      Great saw for the price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've bought this a year ago and it has not let me down, everytime I pull the chord it fires right up...its light weight and it performs like a heavy weight,it cuts through big trees just as good as it does the smaller trees, barely bogs down

        Best chainsaw
About a couple weeks ago I had a tree come down on my property. I bought this chainsaw because of the price and all of the comments that everybody has written about it. This tree literally touched my house and the church and this 18in chainsaw had no problem of cutting through this white oak AKA Sugarberry tree.

          Great saw, terrific price!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this saw yesterday after years wanting one. Grew up cutting cutting firewood with relatives for the family vacation spot using relatives saws. After using my new Ryobi saw yesterday to take care of a “honey do” project, I was back in my youth, reliving wonderful memories! Gone are the days of buying store bought fire wood and using a hand saw for my yearly pruning activities. Thanks Ryobi!

            AMAZING
Easy to use cuts like butter. I would highly recommend this chainsaw. Make sure to buy an extra chain best to keep a spare on hand when out in the woods

              Better than expected!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My father bought me this for Christmas since we had a very large tree fall a few weeks prior. He knew we only had a small electric chainsaw and wanted us to save money on tree removal. The Ryobi chainsaw started easy and performed so much better than expected. I’m just a couple hours we had cleared and cut multiple trees in my backyard. If it weren’t for the gift of this Ryobi chainsaw it would have been a major expense and it also allowed me to clear a few more trees and branches that I have wanted to!

              Good value, low cost
My 18” Ryobi came with a nice carrying case and the chainsaw looks cool. Love the shade of green. Cut great out of the box the first day. Chain was wore out and kept spinning off the bar, even after keeping it adjusted and tight. I recommend buying aftermarket chains as the stock chain was shot after the first day of use. Lightweight, fires right up, cuts great and easy to use. Love this little saw. Perfect for trimming trails on my 15 acres of woods.

Reliable start, good power, a good value and tough enough for harvesting small to medium large trees based on my experience so far.

My review of the rhino 18” chainsaw
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works great and it came very fast, faster then I thought it would it started right up. I love it and I will be buying a 22” soon.
