This worked great for ice fishing
My gas auger blew a piston I went out and bought this auger. It worked great. I drilled through ice in seconds. I fished three lakes form 12"8"6" of ice fished all day. I'm one of those guys that Swiss cheese the ice chasing fish and I had no troubles doing that. It's easy enough and light enough my wife used it. ****The Handel's are a bit wide and it's hard to pack your sled around it. But I would recommend it.

Surprised at how easily it drove the 8" dirt bit...
Surprised at how easily it drove the 8" dirt bit through tough Arizona desert top soil.
Light weight one person operation without the hassle of starting a gas engine balanced on top of an auger was great. Add on the quiet operation with the instant on and reverse - no more gas augers for me. I was surprised at how noisy the gear box is when no load is present.

The lake we were at had...
I took this ice fishing.
The lake we were at had around 24” of ice.
After drilling 7 holes, the battery was still at 75%!
Love it!!
