Great value for drilling holes into concrete.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Drilled 52 holes (5/16) for 13 posts on concrete retaining wall and had no problems. Used 4 cutter drill bit (not included) and this tool drilled the 3" deep holes without any effort. This was my first time using a rotary hammer and so was very pleased at this tool, given the price.

                        Gets the job done!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to buy this 2 days ago because i was having trouble drilling into some concrete. I struggled with my standard drill for almost an hour trying to get 1 hole drilled. After i bought this, i had all 8 of the holes i needed drilled into the concrete done within 10 minutes. Very simple to use and comfortable to use as well. The only con to it, is the speed variability knob is right on the trigger so it makes it a pain sometimes when you are drilling and accidentally spin the adjustment knob. Other than that, im glad i made the purchase!

                          Great price, awesome features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a single mother, I need to be able to fix things at home by myself. Not always I have people available around to do the work for us. I do not like to depend on anyone to do work in my home. For this reason, I need to have tools with features that make my work easier. I know my way around tools thanks to my father that taught me about them. I bought the Ryobi 5/8 VSR Hammer Drill for its low price and features. What stood out to me the most about the drill was its strong and resistant appearance. When using it to carry out work drilling a cement wall, I checked its strength. While drilling into the wall his auxiliary handle made the job so much easier by giving me stability and the opportunity to better utilize my strength to drill the holes. I was surprised at how quickly I was able to make the holes for the project I had in mind in my daughter's room. I have always told my daughter that the success of a project largely depends on having the right tools. I can say that the experience using the Ryobi 5/8 VSR Hammer Drill was very rewarding and satisfying. I will definitely invest in Ryobi products again.

                            Better than imagined!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One word came to mind after experiencing the power and how versatile this hammer drill is, and for the price ... WOW! Being a female in construction I was always told better quality the more I spend. So for several years I've been a loyal Milwaukee gal and never even considered any other brand, but I was an hour from home when realizing I forgot my drill and had drywall to hang, so stopped at home depot and grabbed this Ryobi hammer drill because of price and it's electric. Haven't used any other since, for all my jobs. This one is a great driver, lightweight, easy to handle, for hanging drywall or durarock. Then when I'm ready to set tile the power for mixing thinset is unbelievable! I never leave home without it! I'm looking forward to trying some of the other Ryobi tools, and if they are anything like this one, replacing the ones I have.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have bought one for my brothers and my dad. These have handled several DIY projects, including drilling anchor holes in concrete, drilling 4" holes using holes saws through 3 2x4's. Didn't overheat when using the drill all day.
