The Ryobi One+ HP brushless cordless impact wrench is a great new tool in an extensive list of Ryobi One+ products. Never owning an impact wrench in the past, I decided to pick this unit up to test it out. Long story short, I'm sorry I never picked up an impact wrench sooner! This impact wrench only comes with the tool and an instruction book, but is compatible with any of the Ryobi One+ batteries you already own. It's also compatible with any 3/8in ratchet bits. The compact and lightweight design feels great in the hand and provides a long usage without arm fatigue. This impact wrench screams though anything I throw at it. Driving lags into wood, tightening nuts and bolts, even loosening stuck-on and rusted nuts. The tool has a built-in light in the handle, making seeing what you are doing and working both safer and easier. There are also 4 different settings for torque of the wrench. Low, medium, high, and auto. This opens the tool up to a wide variety of use cases. As someone who has never owned an impact wrench, this is a nice upgrade from regular wrenches and my ratchet set. This really helps to save time and energy. Overall, this is a great project, and Ryobi really hit a homerun with this new line!

I have had quite a few Ryobi tools over the last 20 years I have been very happy with them. They seem to last forever I still use my other impact gun and drill. . This is a brushless 3/8 drive impact gun. It comes with a gun only. No problem I have several Ryobi batteries which are compatible with all of their tools. I like that they didn't change the batteries over the years. I just had to get a new charger for the lithium batteries. The newer lithium works in my old guns that were nicad. It has a hole for a belt clip but you have to purchase it separately. It has plenty of power tor remove and tighten nuts and bolts. I am very happy with it I recommend it.

I already own the Ryobi 18 volt impact driver and use it often with a hex to socket drive adapter for when I am driving/impacting hex head fasteners. I snapped one of socket adapters and felt it was time to go the proper impact tool - the Ryobi impact wrench. Out of the box, this impact is slightly smaller and lighter than my driver. However, my driver isn't brushless and may be the reason for its weight and size. So, I'm thinking this Ryobi tool is going to somewhat wimpy compared to the brushed impact driver. I was wrong - this tool is anything but wimpy. I spent the full weekend with this impact wrench to knock out a list of projects. I am very impressed! Features that I like is the variable speed smooth trigger control and top that off with the 4 speed gear switch with auto. The auto speed kinda had me scratching my head on how and when to apply it. That's when I figured that's what the "auto" means, let the tool decide. I had a project of mounting a side rail on my utility trailer with 1/2" bolts. I was pleased to see that the auto sort of senses the torque of the driver and either kicks in or backs off on speed and impacts. Another plus of this tool is the LED light which my driver lacks. The placement of the light is not the best location in my opinion since it is easy to obstruct depending on how you hold the tool. One item I found as a con is the lack of a tool clip. There are two points to mount one but Ryobi chose not to provide one. This is a necessity in my opinion. I am very satisfied with this tool otherwise and will now be my go-to tool instead of the impact driver.

Ryobi impact wrench great for mid size fastening. Great time saver. Less work than the manual ratchet. Impact action pre-torks faster. The light on the base helps you see areas in low light without having to hold a flashlight. Charges quickly. The charge really seems to last a long time. Great size. Light weight tool keeps the hand and arm strain way down.

This is a light weight impact tool and for its size and weight it has surprising torque. So far its done well for placing hold-down anchors but it didn't have enough breaking power to break the lug-nuts on my truck. That didn't bother me to bad as I have other tools for that but still happy with the job this tool will do. The battery life seems to be pretty good as well.

I really like the sleek design of this battery powered impact wrench. You must have one of these in your shop just for the Ryobi branding and logos. This wrench has four settings: 1, 2, 3, and A for automatic. In automatic mode this tool would not drive a 5/16 by 2-1/2" lag bolt into a 2 by 4, but on setting number 3 it works great. I was trying to find the instructions for the 4 settings, but they seem to be shown only on page 9 of the last foreign language section inside the back cover of the instructions. The work light mounted on the battery holder base is a nice feature.

Ryobi makes good tools for home use. My very first belt sander was a Ryobi and same with router...both lasted a good amount of time justifying their costs. This 3/8 inch impact wrench should as well. It is not meant for extreme impacting as it is only 3/8", but it does handle stuff you wold normally use a 3/8" ratchet for quite well. Holds the sockets real well too. I have used it for a few tougher bolts to loosen as a test and it worked well. A very nice compacted size to fit between your 1/4" and 1/2" impact wrenches.

I acquired the Ryobi impact wrench to obtain more torque than my impact driver provides for loosening and tightening nuts and bolts. I like that the tool is light and compact enough to get into tight spaces and delivers significant torque. I also like the LED indicators for the various modes (speed ranges) of operation (1,2,3, and Auto), and the built in LED work lights. The brushless technology conserves battery power and after using the tool for half an hour with a 4 ah battery the charge indicator did not even move. I used the tool to help me rotate tires on my truck. As the tool is not designed to break lug nuts loose I used a breaker bar to break the lugs loose, then the tool to spin them off. To reinstall I used the tool to snug the lugs up, then torqued them down with a torque wrench. This is my fifth Ryobi cordless tool that uses the One + rechargeable batteries. Each tool has performed well and this wrench has again exceeded expectations.

The Ryobi ONE+HP 18V Brushless Cordless Compact Impact Wrench is Compact. It is much smaller than the previous version and it is a great tool to have in the garage. I use it when I work on lawn mowers. It can easily remove the bolts/nuts that hold on the lawn mower blades, as well as getting the pulleys off the engine. It's small, so you can get into tight places, like under a lawn mower, and very powerful. Also the 3/8 in allows for the smaller impact sockets, rather than the larger ½ impact sockets. It takes the standard Ryobi 18 V batteries of which I already have several. There is an LED Light near the base which is in a good place for illuminating tight areas. There are 4 speeds, Lo, Med, High and Auto. The manual says the Auto Mode adjusts the speed to avoid overtightening and loosening in tight space or when working on more delicate areas. Although it is lighter and smaller it feels sturdy and strong in my hand. I know I'll be using this tool a lot.

The Ryobi 18-volt Compact Brushless/Cordless impact wrench is a nice little unit. It comes as “Tool Only” unit so hopefully you have other Ryobi 18-Volt One+ batteries. The impact wrench has 4 setting, low (0-850 rpm), medium (0-2000 rpm), high (0-2900 rpm) and Auto mode. In Auto Mode it shuts down as soon as it start impacting to protect your fasteners. There is an LED light that is located behind the power setting switch on the base of the unit. My first use of the impact driver was driving lags screw securing logs in my kids home made log cabin. It worked great. The impact wrench puts out a maximum of a 160 ft-lbs of torque. This unit is not powerful enough to tighten lug nuts on your car but will be great for home projects using your 3/8 inch ratchet sockets and extensions.
