This unique Easy Fit compression fitting provides quick connection of 1/2" and 5/8" outside diameter Drip irrigation tubing to 3/4" male pipe threaded (MPT) devices. Rain Bird's Easy Fit system involves simple push-together hand assembly and fits all brands of 1/2" and 5/8" Drip tubing. Easy Fit Compression Fittings reduce time in any 1/2" tubing Drip irrigation system install. Quick, push-together assembly speeds installation, requiring less force than competitor's compression fittings. The finished connection is durable, leak-resistant and stays in place season after season. Constructed of highly durable UV and chemical-resistant materials to assure long life. Q:Once connected to the tubing, can it be removed?

        A:  I put mine on 1/2" Rain Bird Drip Irrigation hose and it is a tight fit. Don't know if it will go on 5/8"

            Splits and leaks
            This review for Model # EF075F, Rain Bird 3/4 in. Pipe to 1/2 in. Drip Adapter. FPT connection is not durable. Two of them split within a week, connected to Model # PRF07530S, 30 psi Pressure-Regulating Filter. Used Tru-Blu Pipe Thread Sealant with PTFE, hand tight only. Without the sealant it leaks. ...Now I am on a third one. Stuck with Rainbird, because I am using RainBird tubing and those often do not cross-fit between brands. Wondering if the sealant should not be used, but RainBird has no instructions on how to connect. In fact, the exact part number is hard to locate. Now I do not see the item on there website at all.
