The manual states that manual watering can be set for 72 hrs. I do not know if that would carry over to durations settings.

I do not know, but have used two for micro irrigation. Seems to work well, but can not have to many lines on it. Also use another one at my lake house to water some new seed with an impact sprinkler. It will shot out the 30 or 40 feet in all directions with the faucet opened up all the way and a 100 foot hose attached to it.

If I understand your question properly, you would need to buy a double male adapter to use this in-line on your set up. Just make sure you are using it in a vertical position. It will not last if you use it in any other orientation.

Ok so with this timer I would have to leave the water faucet on correct, now will my water bill go up

No. As long as you have a good fit and there’s no leak, It should not affect your water bill. The only increase in your water consumption is from the timer dispensing the water that you have scheduled. It works great, but do check regularly to make sure it’s not leaking and remove it before the first freeze.

It connects to a hose bib. If you are concerned, drop one of these in-line. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-3-4-in-Hose-Bibb-Vacuum-Breaker-VACBFPZ4EB/205815672

Water resistant, not water proof. It has a gasket around the battery pack that will keep most water out but it is best to install it in a mostly dry location like under an eve.

Leak proof timer
I bought the Rainbird timer as part of the lawn irrigation kit some 5 years ago. But I was using a 4 port Timer by another brand. I was hoping this timer would work after staying unused all these years. Glad it worked. Also I noticed that there was no leaking in the connecting areas. With my old timer the back wall would remain soaking wet due to water leakage despite using several kinds of rubber washers in addition to the original washer. I didn’t have to use any additional washers with my Rainbird timer. It works like a charm.

So far this has been working flawlessly. I am using it to water my two raised vegetable gardens. It was easy to set up and to program. It is fairly self explanatory using the onscreen menus. My only worry is it failing and leaving the water running. Only time will tell if it will last. I will update this review if there are any issues.

Best timer ever!
I have a small lavender field and a 20 tree orchard, both front and back decks with flowers. I use some split hoses with these timers. I’ve left them out in the snow, forget to bring them in, left batteries in and they always work. Setting the timers are easy. Overriding and changing the timers for the seasons is easy as well. I’ve used double hose timers and other brands, none work as easily and straightforward as this particular timer.

leaks everywhere
I purchased this Rainbird timer along with a Chapin Hydrofeed for automatic irrigation. It didn’t matter what I did it leaked everywhere. I tried multiple outdoor fausets within proximity of where I wanted it. I certainly hope I find my receipt because this was a total waste of money.

Easy to assemble and we used it for potted plants. Expectations were met but for $30 purchase it works as it should. One dislike regarding the connections; assembly instructions in package are different (and incorrect for proper assembly) than those I found on manufacturer website. I know Rainbird makes good products but maybe have better communication between their marketing/technical department for consistency...

Seeds Program Review
(What's this)
We recently installed this to run a drip irrigation system on our deck to keep some flowers and vegetable plants watered at our weekend home. I found the unit was very easy to set up compared to the previous irrigation timer we used. The set up controls are intuitive and it is very easy to change the timer settings (duration of watering, days of the week etc.) without having to reprogram the whole timer. In our case, the timer is connected to a faucet that supplies well water from our 10,000 gallon storage tank so the pressure is quite low (perhaps 25 psi from the gravity feed). We attached a conventional 1/2" drip irrigation tube to the output of the timer and then connected about 12 drippers and one spray head. Setting up the timer was very easy indeed. All you need is a couple of AA batteries (not included) and the day, time of day and other settings like watering duration are set by rotating the large rotary dial and using an up/down arrow button and an 'OK' button to select the desired settings. As you're doing this, the results are visible on a very large LCD display (which I can easily read without needing my 2.0 reading glasses!). The LCD also shows how much remaining battery life is left which is very helpful and should prevent any low/dead battery non-watering issues. After testing out the timer at 15 mins duration twice per day, there was slightly too much water as it was coming out of the bottom of some of the pots, so we reduced it to 10 mins per day which was very easy to do. We just set the rotary dial to the 'Set Duration' setting and use the arrows to reduce the time from 15 mins to 10 mins and it was done. As you get into the growing season for plants like tomatoes, it makes it very easy to increase the watering duration to ensure the fruit develops properly. The timer is a little simpler than the one we replaced in as much as you can't have a 10 minute watering period in the morning and a slightly longer 20 minute watering period later in the day however I don't think this will stop the plants from growing (but more importantly it will stop them dying!). There is a manual On/Off override that allows the timer schedule to be bypassed for immediate watering. I found this very handy when I was installing the new drippers for making sure the drippers were dispensing water properly before I moved on to install the next one. The digital display shows how many times per day (1 or 2) and how long it will water for as well as which individual days of the week the timer will switch the water on. Finally since we have ours connected to our well tank, there is normally some silt and residue in the water pipes at the start of every season. The timer comes with a mesh filter that is very helpful for preventing the smaller irrigation tubes clogging up with rust and other sediment.

Seeds Program Review
(What's this)
I bought a flip house and the previous owner did not take care of the sprinkler system so the water pipe is broken and the equipment no longer works. As I have been slowly repairing the system I still need a way to maintain the lawn. It became a chore to remember each day to go turn the valves on for the oscillating sprinkler and to go back out and turn it off. This Rain Bird setup is a perfect answer to this. You can quickly set a schedule (one or twice per day) and select which days you want to water. Turn the knob to "Auto" and leave the water valve on and done! There is also a water now button with a timer. I've used this a few times for example after I seeded the yard. My main concern was leaving the faucet under pressure and if the timer would drip/leak but that hasn't been an issue. I believe my water pressure is around 70psi which is within the 40-90 range specified. Lastly for the oscillating sprinkler I did "water now" for a few minutes and just adjusted the faucet until I got the coverage I wanted. Only con about this unit is sometimes I want to use the faucet and have to disconnect the timer. It would be nice if it had a bypass with an on/off so I could leave it installed but still use the faucet.
