Wanted to love it, couldn't seal the leaks
I've used many Rain Bird products, and they've always provided unique solutions to challenging watering situations. This product seemed like the perfect solution to water two sapling trees where my sprinkler system doesn't provide concentrated spray, and I was manually setting my hose down regularly to soak the trees. A slower, easier to use drip system seemed ideal. But here's the problem: I couldn't seal the leaks between all the plastic fittings that make up this device. The main head has four sets of threads, and I had leaks at three of them. Granted, the manual says you must use teflon tape, and oddly includes it on just one of the four joints, but even after using my own teflon tape on the other three joints, I could only get one of those to fully seal. Ultimately, that meant I had a big leak coming out of the main head device, which made this a lot less elegant than it could have been. Sure, I can place the main head at one of my trees and just let it leak all over, but then I'm really not controlling the flow. The other thing I'll say about this is that it's not really a drip system. It's more of a micro-watering or mini-sprinkler system. It has both micro-emitters and micro-bubblers (which are sort of like sprinklers). That means it will lose more water to evaporation than a true drip hose, where all water is emitted right at the soil level and has very little chance to evaporate. The mini-sprinkler design does allow for broader coverage, but I just don't agree with the "Drip Irrigation" in the name. It's a spot water kit, not a drip kit. They are different. And like I said, mine leaked, and it really should just come fully assembled from the factory with the tape in place, or maybe have fewer thread points to reduce the chanced of failure.

Pinpoint watering
I like rainbirds watering systems, I have been working on my garden and have implemented the sprinklers for my vegetables and grape vines and pear trees. All on the one system, I did have to buy more of the tubing as I did have some longer lines. It didn't affect the supply with the extra length because it was using a small drip feeding. I liked the two different flow rates as the trees needed more water. The six head unit was great for the grape vines.

Great kit for watering a small garden or flower bed
This kit comes with everything needed to drip irrigate a large flower bed or garden. It comes with one spike to attach the water hose to and the spike has 6-line outputs on the top of it. It includes 12 separate watering devices including 1& 2 gallon drips, bubblers and fan type pattern ends. The installation is super simple and only requires a little plumbers tape for the garden hose end and a pair of good scissors for cutting the 1/4" line. It includes the pressure regulator so you don't over pressure the fittings and lines. It also includes a filter to keep particulates from blocking the ends. This is a good kit for covering several plants in a relatively contained area. Overall, I think this is a good starter kit that includes everything you need for around 12-15 plants.

Add drip irrigation to areas not covered by your sprinkler system.
This is a nice addition to the Rain Bird line of drip irrigation products. With this product you can set up temporary irrigation areas for annuals in your yard or potted plants by tapping into your garden hose for water when there aren't any irrigation pop ups near the area you're planting in. The kit contains everything you need EXCEPT a garden hose connected to your outdoor faucet. Assembly is straight forward and the instructions are good. The kit is compatible with other Rain Bird drip irrigation products, so the emitters and small diameter hose you may already have will work with this kit, and vice versa. One word of caution with regards to the 6 port manifold head. BE CAREFUL removing tubing and end caps. PULL STRAIGHT away from the port. Twisting or bending the cap or tubing to get it off the port can break the port rendering the manifold useless unless you find a screw of the right size to plug the broken port.

Love the rain bird products.. n this is no exception
Rain Bird Hose End Drip Irrigation Spot Watering Kit is yet another innovative, simple yet very practical tool for all DIY gardeners to setup a simple irrigation watering for their yards/beds. In the past 3-4yrs, i have used multiple products from them to cover every nook n corner of my garden bed with their irrigation kits. And this one is no exception either. I have used this to cover my last remaining bit of garden bed to provide consistent and reliable watering for all my plants

A nice kit, very usefull
I have an existing drip irrigation system (6 sections).  However I recently installed a raised planter area which is not adjacent to my existing system.  The planter bed is 25'x2', and between 8-16" high.  I can easily get PVC piping to this area (cool deck and paving stones make digging difficult.  But I do have an outside faucet 20' away. That is where this irrigation watering kit comes in handy.  I can very easily put the hub in the middle, run a hose to it and then have 6 branches off of the hub, easily covering the right and left side of my raised planter bed.   At my home I have exceptional water pressure, when I first connected the hose and hub together I pointed all the manifolds up, turned on the water and the six outputs sprayed above the roof of my house (16' high), a fun experiment.  The first thing I have to say is I love the little stakes that have bubblers on the end or those that just raise the hose off the ground.  Almost all of my existing drip system is on the ground and when I add mulch every couple years it's always getting buried.  These little stakes really help to solve this problem.  I did my raised bedding installation in the middle of the winter, fortunately I live in Phoenix, AZ and it was about 60 degrees.  The supplied tubing, exen at high pressures stays in place.  But it was still pretty still and hard to uncoil, I could not set long sections to "stay" flat (-1 star).  I've used hard irrigation tubing and soft tubing in the past, this is somewhere in between. I'm hoping when it gets over 100 in a couple of months that the 1/4"  tubing will get to be more pliable.  I like adjustable micro bubblers much more than the spot emitters, I also wish the kit had 6 half bubbles and 6 full bubblers.  The 1 and 2 gal emitters are not what I need in Phoenix.  That being said I just helped someone starting vegetables indoors set up their lights and plants, this kit with an indoor faucet adapter would be perfect for that situation (but it would also be very easy enough to adapt).  So I've found another use for a kit like this.   Except for the stiffness of the tubing (which was still too stiff indoors @75 degrees). I really like the concept.  It allows you to easily set up a relatively large drip system that can easily be expanded with more common Rain Bird.  For my "new" raised bed it worked perfectly ,and may very well prevent me from digging up my pools cool deck to extend my existing system.  One other thought, I wish the individual manifold outputs were flow adjustable.  After installing and running this system to my flower bed I'd like less pressure on certain hose runs.

Good, basic, drip irrigation kit
This kit comes with a liberal amount of tubing and all the connections one needs to setup a drip watering system. I am planning on using this in two raised beds where slow constant watering in the dry summer months is desirable. It also allows you to use a much smaller amount of water because you are not wasting water by watering dirt and weeds. The water goes where it needs to be not anywhere else. I am looking forward to a much more productive garden this summer.

Great starter kit for garden irrigation
First off, I have tried all the different brands for garden irrigation, and in my opinion, Rain Bird is hands down the best you can get. This starter kit contains everything you need to set up a complete watering system. The main splitter has everything to attach it to a standard sprinkler head, or a garden hose, complete with a quick disconnect attachment, making it easier to remove your hose for other uses. This kit also contains four bubbler heads, which are my personal favorite for watering small gardens. Along with these, you also get four one gallon per hour and four two gallon per hour dripper attachments. The splitter itself allows for six separate lines to be used at once, with caps pre-installed just in case you do not need all six. Also included are three four way splitters, to split the water line further down. All this plus 50 feet of high quality 1/4" tubing and you are ready to set up a great garden watering system!

Save $ on your water bill
Rainbird makes it easy to be frugal with your water usage while still giving your plants or garden the irrigation they need. Everything you need for a small irrigation project is in the box. Plenty of tubing and connectors. Spot emitters and micro bubblers are very useful in these small applications. Versatile gang valves allow plenty of options for drip irrigation of multiple plants. It's all very easy to use. I recommend drawing your garden plot on a piece of paper and sketching out how you want the irrigation to flow. Then do measurements. Then do the cutting. This will save time and frustration. Rainbird products are my go-to irrigation source for my garden.

Nice Hose-End Drip Kit
This Hose-End Drip Irrigation Spot Watering Kit from Rain Bird really is a complete kit to get you going right away. I have mine hooked up to a hose bib splitter and I use the quick connect for easy on and off use. I have a hose with a quick connect on it also I can easily swap them out. The kit comes with plenty of 1/4" drip hose to get you going, and there are 2 each of the sprinkler and bubbler ends. It also comes with straight ends with drip tips. It also comes with both 1 gph and 2 gph drip ends. There's also a sprinkler manifold that you can add to a sprinkler riser that gives you the ability to run 6 lines from the one spot. I would definitely purchase another kit to expand my drip watering abilities.
