Worked at first and then failed
Used (4) of these anchors for Floor Winch installation in my garage. Available in quantities, but no set tool. HD Associates had no idea either. Mounted winch tested pulling car in a few times. Last test, rear (2) anchors pulled out. Front (2) bent and pulled out partially. Upon closer examination, these do not expand much - even when fully threaded. I am going to go with a Wej-It or something with more expansion and increased resistance to pull and shear forces.

Used anchors and fish eye bolt, to attach a 28 foot boat, under a bridge, to operate a core machine on bridges wall.Needless to say. These will hold up for your normal house hold work.

The product is good but my experience in the Vallejo store was not very good. When asking for help, the employees were under staffed and disorganized.

It would seem to me that it would make sense to include the bolts that would fit in these anchors. Charge a little more, sure, but don't make me have to hunt for the bolts.

Great product. Super simple to use. Wish Home Depot stocked ALL the sizes rather than just the one that was a tad too large for my application. I will definitely be using these again.

The Red Head 3/8 in. Solid Drop in Anchor Setting Tool is a necessary accessory for properly setting drop-in anchors. The anchor is properly expanded when the shoulder of the setting tool is flush with the top of anchor. Typical applications for a drop-in anchor are overhead applications, transformers and meters, ceiling fans and electrical light fixtures. To set a Red Head Drop-In anchor below the surface, drill a hole deeper than the anchor length, then thread the bolt through the anchor and hammer the anchor into the hole until the bolt head is at the desired depth. Remove the bolt and set the anchor with this setting tool. Use the Red Head 3/8 in. x 1-5/8 in. Zinc-Plated Steel Drop-In Anchor for overhead fastening in solid concrete. The anchor features steel construction and is ideal for use with threaded-rod applications. 4-way slot for dependable anchor expansion. Pre-installed plug is designed to remain in place during installation.
