How much thread is exposed after the anchor is secured? is 1-7/8'' the anchors total length or the working thread lenght?
Asked by: Steve
This depends on how deep you make the hole and the thickness of what you are anchoring. The minimum needed engagement for the anchor in the hole is 1.5in.

How do I get these out of a brick wall?

How do you get these out of a brick wall? We are sheet rocking over the brick and want to put longer bolts in their place for remounting our tv once the new drywall
Asked by: kcg65
They cannot be removed. You need to cut them off flush and drill new holes since the sleeve compresses as you tighten the nut. If you force them out, you risk damaging the brick or concrete they are anchored in and if they do come out, the hole will no longer be the correct diameter for the anchor.

How much weight does one anchor hold?

Asked by: F85bowtie
It depends on the application. Pull out strength and holding strength are much different. If you mount this to a wall and are hanging something from it, holding strength will be well over 5000lb based on the material and diameter. If you are asking about pullout strength, that depends on the material it is secured to...brick, stone, concrete, etc. The wall material will fail before the fastener.

What size drill bit do i need for these

Asked by: Jim
All installation instructions are on the packaging, but you need a 3/8in diameter drill bit. You want to make the hole slightly deeper than the length you choose to ensure a snug fit before tightening the nut.
