It is very well constructed and the intent for this outlet for my application is to also run it for multiple days in a row, which I do believe it will handle that.. my generator is the 13000 W model and the only things that are not hooked up when I am plugged into the generator is my hvac clothes washer and dryer water. Your available amperage is determined by your generator. The 50 amp cord is as it states, rated for a maximum 50 amps. More than that amount and it starts heating up and risk a fire. To determine your amperage you would divide your watts by voltage. In this case your running wattage is 7,600/120= 62.5

All 50 Amp inlets will be rated for 12,500 Watts because a 50 Amp receptacle is only capable of outputting 12,000 Watts at the peak. If your connecting this to a generators 50 Amp outlet, the generator will only be capable of outputting 12,000 Watts from the 50A receptacle, even if the generator is rated for a higher output.

Yes, that will work with your generator. The cord you need, needs to be one of the ones that will handle 50 amps, the ones with the 6 GA wire. You will need to figure out how long you need it to be, but nothing over 50 feet long as that will degrade the power, but still keep the generator far enough away to keep down the carbon monoxide from getting in the house

Most importantly, this inlet can be wired as 240 volt, which your L14-30; 30amp won't support, so verify how the item receiving the power form the inlet is set up. I have this inlet, it uses the California Standard (that is what the CS stands for) and you will need a CS6365 male plug. Hubbell makes them, they are kind of expensive. I would not use and adapter, because it will be very bulky, cut the cord, and put on the right plug. The Hubbell plug ends are kind of expensive, but very high quality, commercial/industrial grade. Again, you will only be able to use this inlet with your L14-30; 30amp if it is wired for 120, you can't use it if it is wired for 250.

This power inlet is rated 125/250 volts. There are four conductors, three terminals and a grounding connection on the inside radius of the inlet that probably doesn't show up well in the photos but it's there. This is the standard configuration for four conductor 50 amp locking connections.
