Q:2 black rubber washers for the blue waste adapter were included. Are both needed? The black threaded nut, that holds one hose rib to seal waste pipe (1.5 ), does not hard stop. I can keep turning it beyond tightening (with click sound). Is it normal?

returned item was sold to me on pickup order
Will leave honest review of product once I get a new unused/unmodified one. The hose has actually been cut and used. It is not a single piece.

Extremely fragile
Two of the plastic pieces broke when I applied minimal force with my fingers. It’s extremely fragile and it still leaks on both ends.

Drain pains? Simple-Drain.
Thanks to the easy to read and understand instructions and simple one piece(with connectors) design, I successfully installed and tested the new drainage system in less than 10 minutes! Great product, price, and packaging!

Do yourself a favor, don’t buy it
I bought that a year ago and was not really convinced but I wanted to try as it seems so easy to install and it is. But I shouldn’t have because this didn’t last and I had to re-do it properly with conventional drain pipe, p-trap… and it looks much better !
This simple drain was white and then turned yellowish after few months, then I found a leak under the sink, it was from the dish washer outlet… this simple drain kit is not for the long run, this is fragile and won’t last.

The dishwasher connection is outside of our control to some extent. We offer a barbed fitting that works with most dishwasher drain tubes when properly clamped. As we do not make the drain tubes nor do we supply that clamp, it is hard to control what every final connection looks like. I'm sorry that yours was not ideal. Most white plastics and rubber compounds will yellow in dark spaces over time. We have adjusted our formulation this year to improve long-term brightness, but it is purely cosmetic. The material itself is made to outlast the rest of your sink components. Simple Drain is designed to be a permanent solution and will stand up to impact and vibration under a kitchen sink better than hard plastic trap kits over time. Best + Easiest Kit if you have a High Waste Pipe
I bought this and a Snappy Trap kit to see which was best for me. My waste pipe goes into the wall 4" below the sink strainers so I learned the ST kit with hard plastic P-trap wasnt going to work. The SIMPLE DRAIN kit was an easy install in 30 mins. I broke a blue screw tab so I tightened it with pliers. I used a short pipe and wall drain coupling from the ST kit. I may cut hose length but this works fine and drains well. Cost-effective fix for our 100 yr. old home until we do full kitchen reno.

Can be adapted for bathroom dual vanity use
A leaky bathroom dual vanity.
Wanted to use the Y-shaped kitchen set up for bathroom but the 1 1/4“ sink drain pipes meant that I needed to use 2 bathroom connector kits and connect them to a hard plastic P-Trap (as suggested by the manufacturer) with hard plastic attached to the wall drain, which was a 2“ metal pipe in my old house.
Although I did not use the kits to create a P-Trap, I did use two of the single bathroom kits to attach to the P-Trap. The flexibility was key! No leaks now!

Sooooo Easy !!
I replaced a vanity and needed to hook up a drain to the new faucet. This drain goes through the floor instead of the back wall. I have spent hours staring at the old installation, looking at how-to videos, and generally dreading the entire procedure. OH MY GOSH! This made the job so easy and painless, I could just cry !! And I didn’t need to buy MORE tools!! I am a 73 year old female, and nothing is easy - EXCEPT this Simple Drain! Thank you to the brilliant people that made this!!

Flexible rubber = easy sealing and routing
New home, had to gut under-sink which was PVC and had much caulk as well. Also installed dishwasher where there was none before. See before and after pix. Very pleased.
