poor decals and hard to clean
loved this stove top to begin. unfortunately, the decals on the front identifying the brand and knob direction all fade away. we have followed all cleaning instructions....which by the way make this very difficult to clean! your customer service chat agent names kim actually told me to paint new letters on....really? she said this is cosmetic damage and not covered by samsung. not having proper id on the knobs makes this stove dangerous. huge problem and terrible support. so bummed.

Frustrating decals
Unit is nice. Pretty hard to clean. Real problem is the decals all come off relatively easily. When they start to come off (quickly!) it makes the entire stove top look cheap. Really frustrating. I called Samsung service and they told me this is cosmetic and not covered by my warranty. They actually suggested I paint the letters back on. Seriously!

Great Cooktop EXCEPT
Cooktop 36” Gas Black stainless steel. ( fingerprint resistant)…Killer feature is black stainless steel finish … used stainless steel cleaner on knob panel and it is completely ruined.. New part with shipping $325… no diagram available on how to replace so will have to figure that out on my own . . I would assume if you bought this in regular stainless steel would not be an issue.. Wi-Fi feature worthless… other than that it’s a great cooktop !

Good product, but beware when cleaning!
This product works well, however, cleaning with a stainless steel cleaner will not work out in your favor. The well where the burners are is stainless steel and cleaned perfectly. The panel where the knobs are is not stainless steel and the finish severely faded. Neither Home Depot extended warranty dept. or Samsung Support take no responsibility and their position is I damaged the product despite the fact the manual says you can use stainless steel cleaner. Basically, my tough luck.

Generally excellent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took a long time to get this cooktop. It installed perfectly on our granite counter. The burners work extremely well and the simmer function is perfect. The center high heat burner also works great! The only small complaint that I have is that there is a small cosmetic defect on the front. Unfortunately the warranty specifically excludes cosmetic defects.
