Missing parts
I received my hood without the chimney/duct cover. I paid for a full product and got only the bottom half of it. I am disappointed and upset to see everyone else on here with pics got their chimney/duct covers. I bought an entire kitchen suite of products...double oven, cooktop, dishwasher, and refrigerator... but big fail on this one and 7 months later still haven't received the missing parts that never shipped!!!

Don't buy the black stainless
this product scratches too easily. samsung doesn't warranty "cosmetic" issues. the design of the chimney where one piece slides into the other causes instant damage! terrible service, terrible "coating" for a very $$$$ hood.

Powerful and beautiful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this hood to go with my other Samsung appliances and it is a showstopper. It is elegant and very powerful. Prior to my kitchen Reno I had an outdated recirculating hood which literally did nothing but blow the food smells, smoke and grease around. This one has 4 different vent powers and vents to the outside. The lighting is great for cooking too. The only issue is I cannot find the hood on the Samsung app to connect to Wi-Fi.

A good unit that needs installation improvements
this hood is very sleek looking and has good functionality. i just installed it today so it's too soon to comment on reliability but i'm hopeful.
installation however was not great. the instructions tell you to mount the chimney bracket flush with the ceiling, but when i did so, the holes in that bracket and the holes in the chimney for screws do not line up with one another. the interlocking chimney sections also scratched the finish of each other when i had to lower it back down because they did not line up.
the entire unit is also wrapped in a "laser film" that is waaaayyy too sticky. not only is removing it an arduous endeavor, but it will leave your unit covered in fingerprints despite it being billed as fingerprint resistant.

Auto feature not practical, useless.
Automatic feature only triggers at Low power, which is too weak that makes it completely useless. This setting cannot be changed. Also the auto feature stop the vent immediately after the range fire is off, this totally did not make sense because the cook smell won't stop immediate at the second you turn off the fire. The vent should be kept on for 20 seconds after fire is off. Again, no setting can be adjusted. So much technology so poor execution without any provision for user customization. I wish I can get a refund for this expensive stove and range hood set.

Wall mount hood 36”
Extremely attractive good in a great color! So much so we are thinking about getting a matching fridge. Only complaint we have is the “U” in Samsung is not aligned on the logo. It is driving us bonkers, but no one noticed it at our Christmas party so that is good!
