$ 962 20

Overview

The SaniBest Pro is a system that is used to install a complete bathroom up to 25 ft. below the sewer line, or even up to 150 ft. away from a soil stack. The SaniBest Pro can handle the effluent from a toilet, sink, bathtub, shower and washing machine (indirect connection). While most of our pump range consists of shredders/macerators, the SaniBest Pro incorporates an actual grinder system. The SaniBest Pro is ideal for situations where you do not control the use of it (i.e. rental unit, offices, warehouses, etc. The SaniBest Pro is designed to deal with sanitary napkins that may have been flushed down the toilet; such may consist of condoms, sanitary napkins, q-tips, dental floss, etc. The wastewater from other sanitary fixtures is discharged into the SaniBest Pro via two 2 in. inlets on either side of the housing. The discharge elbow on top of the SaniBest Pro can be rotated 360° depending on the discharge installation. A non-return valve (included in assembly) prevents back flow into the unit. This unit has been designed with a vent connection on the lid. All plumbing codes require connection to a vent system. Please note that the vent system should be a 2-way air vent. The uses of mechanical vents, air admittance valves or similar devices are not permitted as these are considered 1-way air vent systems. It is highly recommended for the system to be connected to a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) circuit.

Make sure whomever uses this system understands that they cannot dispose of extraneous matter in this appliance.

Would I need a toilet specially made for this pump, or can it be directly attached to an existing toilet? Currently, there is an American Standard Champion 4 elongated toilet in the location where one of these would be needed.
Asked by: Nick
You will need the toilet from Saniflo. The pumps are sold along with several different styles of toilets and the package deal is a good one.

Is this unit very loud?

Asked by: Allen
It is not overly noisy, but certainly it can be heard. I put my pump in the wall behind the toilet, and that will serve to keep the pump out of sight, and also muffle the sound somewhat. If you do this, be sure to do it in such a way that the pump can be readily serviced if need be. Be sure to use the rubber feet that come with the pump. These do a lot to deaden the sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maybe the Best Macerator in its class I spent hours online reading reviews, & on Saniflo’s website to figure out which model was a best bet. This SANIBEST Pro 1HP model 013 is designed for Saniflo toilets (that have a REAR outlet). The other SANIGRIND Pro model 014 is designed for universal toilets (that have a BOTTOM outlet). Both have the same power specs. I initially mis-planned how to install this unit. Plumbing MUST leave this box traveling VERTICALLY FIRST (up to 25’), & then horizontal LASTLY (up to 150’ in a downward gravitational direction). Please be aware of that important detail, or you might be re-planning your work. It might not be a big deal if you know ahead of time. After a week of installation, it grinds waste as described, including baby wipes, & pumps upward not loudly, but not quietly either. I went back & re-insulated the wall more afterwards to help lower the sound some, which helped. It gets the job done, & also seems to be reliable so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No need to tear up concrete or subfloors The grinder pump is provided with everything needed to attach it to a toilet and also a three piece bathroom. The grinder pump does not store any of the waste in the tank, it pumps it out every time you flush. I wanted to add a toilet, basin and shower to my 3,000 sq ft workshop at home. I live on a ranch and our waste water goes to a septic tank. Given the location of the workshop (100 feet from the septic tank, but more importantly some 8 feet below the level of the septic tank) there was no way to tie in to the septic without a pump.This kit will allow me to add a full bathroom without even having to break the concrete floor. I'll discharge the waste through a buried line to the septic tank. All I need do is bury a small diameter waste line between the shop and the septic tank. An added bonus is that this unit rather than using a macerator uses a real grinning pump. Whilst I'd never want someone to flush sanitary towels or other 'non septic safe' items, I know that if they do the grinder will handle it without causing blockages or costly repairs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better than my old pump that this replaced But then again, my old pump was 1959 vintage and was working fine until not long ago. We redid the half bath in the basement replacing the pump with this one and the toilet with a Saniflo toilet made for the upflush grinder/chopper applications. The old pump was a chopper and actually gave little problem unless a foreign object made it into the pump. In years past little green army men have been a pump stopping issue on more than one occasion. This pump is a grinding pump and is supposed to be able to handle the occasional foreign object even a sanitary napkin. (Think heavy duty garbage disposal built into the upflush pump). Its a vented unit so ya gotta run a vent line to outside if you dont have one. I was lucky, even the old unit was vented so I had to only make a few PVC changes and I was in business. Be sure and check local codes and product recommendations and musts before ordering but for us it couldnt be working better or easir=er to install. The good thing about this is if plumbing id not your strong suite installation by a plumber shouldnt be that expensive, of course depending on your variables.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommend the Saniflo Best Pump - 1HP & Metal Grinder Blades Our lower bath dream was finally realized with the Saniflo Best pump and toilet. Avg bids we received to install a shower, sink and toilet in our walkout basement were staggering not because contractors were overpriced, but because of the costs of breaking up concrete to installing plumbing. The cost of labor to install shower/sink/Saniflo toilet & pump was nearly 1/2 the price. If you're on the fence, jump off and take advantage of the highest rated pump/grinderer - at 1 full hp and the metal grinder blades, our plumber explained this Saniflo Best is like having a garbage disposal at the toilet - virtually nothing will clog your toilet, even grandkids who will flush anything down. I'm in love with Saniflo! (For the rest of the story, see my review on companion Saniflo Toilet.)

I bought every year one now I have 4 of them and they don't work. Don,t bother to call costumer service because they will ask you for pictures installation when was installed who installed the product and all entire nine yards. I did provide them with all pictures and company who installed and no luck still is my fault for buying it. worst product ever was invented build. do not buy unless you planing to get new one every year. Have nice build one from wayne sump pump or zoeller, or better yet if you are planing to spend yearly &950.00 better aply for town permit and run the pipes 500 yards if needed is cheaper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Basement Additional We added a toilet into the basement but needed a system that would not involve building the floor up too high. This grinder option allowed the toilet to enter the flush system without having to build upwards, instead it exits from the backside. This grinder pump is quieter and easy to install. The horse power has allowed it to take what was passes through and move it through. The system made installing a toilet a lot easier then expected.
