A:  Scotts Turf Builder Thick'R Sun & Shade Mix is a combination seed, fertilizer & soil improver. THis product is used for overseeding the lawn. The seed will fill in the gaps in the current lawn. The fertilizer is for thicker greener turf. The soil improver will enhance root development.

      A:  I am no sure what is being asked. The product contains grass seed, fertilizer, and a mulch that will hold moisture. After preparing the soil by scratching it up, I applied the product and kept it moist. It took about a week to see growth and now it's fully covered the area with beautiful grass

            The Thick'R Lawn by Scotts was ok. On the bag...
            The Thick'R Lawn by Scotts was ok. On the bag it said it would cover 4000 sq feet. I was doing a 2000sq foot area of my lawn and used a scotts spreader at the spread setting indicated on the back of the bag but half the bag was gone before I was half of the way done with my seeding area so I had to dial it way down just to cover the area with the rest. As for growth, the seed did germinate, and the existing grass does look a bit greener, however most of the lawn is still very patchy and the grass sprouts are very thin between each other allowing the dirt to show through, unlike the Thick branding advertised by this product.

              Doesn't grow.
              Bought three different brands of grass seed this year for landscaping projects. This is the only one of the three that didn't grow!

                    I used this product in several bare places on my lawn. Followed the directions which requires, at least in my case, considerable preparation of the ground/soil. Also, watering takes observation time as you need to put enough water so that it will germinate but not so much that it floats away from the original location.
