A:  Hi Jackofalltrades! These will not work in heavy gauge metal studs. For us to point you in the correct direction and to see if we have another product you can use, we would need to know the gauge of the steel you are working with. You are always welcome to call our Customer Service Center and they can point you to the Territory Manager for your area who can help you quickly. 800-239-8665

              Best nail/screw for nail guns!
This has to be one of the best products ever made. You shoot them in like a nail but you can remove them like a screw. Holding power is greater than a nail and removal is much easier and just like removing a screw. They are great for outdoor projects where you might have to remove a board or two after time. With nails removal is difficult to impossible. With this product removal is very easy. The holding power is much greater than nails too. Huge winning item! Wish they came out with this years ago.

slick idea that solves nailing problems.
The Versa - Drive ( screw- nail) is the best idea to be used with auto nailers since the inception of the air nailer. The advantage is the super secure screw system delivered by air guns. The thread design is such that the threads do not cut the wood fibers on entry but instead spreads the fibers for a good hold. The fastener can be adjusted for tightness and depth with a plain screwdriver. The actual fastener holds better than a nail and resists working loose, The quality is superior and the rust resistant finish will last.

              Great for tempary fastening.
These nails work great in my nail gun. They drive the same as standard nails. But you can remove them later, witch makes them great for attachments that you will have to remove at a later date. The heads are designed for use with both Phillips and square-drive bits. I like the square drive - there is almost no chance of stripping out the head. You have to be a bit more careful when using a Phillips bit, as you do not have as much of a head to work with. This can be a problem in hard woods. While I mainly used them for temporary attachments, the heads actually look good enough to leave. They look "dressier" then standard nail heads.

              Great product
These are expensive compared to HDG (Hot Dipped Galvanized) ring shank nails but you get what you pay for. I bought these as an experiment for a privacy fence installation. Used my Bostitch F33PT framing nail gun. Talk about throwing a fence together. I put up 600 pine pickets in 2 days at a leisurely pace. After about 6 months 3 warped. Instead of ripping the begeezus out of the wood, i backed the scrails out and replaced the board. No rust runs down the face. I called the company ahead of time to check and see if they would work in my gun. They sent me 3 sticks to test for free. They don't back out and look fantastic.
