The SharkBite PVC IPS (Iron Pipe Size) Disconnect Clip can be used the release a SharkBite PVC IPS Fitting from Sch. 40, 80, 120 PVC Pipe. The 3-Pack contains a 1/2 in., 3/4 in. and 1 in. Disconnect clip. The PVC Disconnect Clip will release the fitting on the White Collar of the fitting. The PVC Disconnect Clip also serves as a safe seal depth gauge to mark the PVC Pipe to ensure the fitting has been inserted to the proper depth.

A:  These clips snap around the pipe. The clips NO NOT HOLD THE PIPE IN PLACE. They are designed to remove Sharkbite PVC fittings for Iron Pipe Sizes

A:  They do snap on. I don't understand the rest of your question. They are to disconnect the pipe from a shark-bite connector.

    One of my biggest complaints when using PEX tubing is getting it apart. Sometimes it feels like I need three hands to accomplish my task. The SharkBite 1/2 in., 3/4 in. and 1 in. PVC IPS Disconnect Clip (3-Pack) eliminates this problem. Who knew that something so simple could be such a useful tool. The tool slides over the pipe and when pushed against the connection collar, provides the equally distributed pressure needed to remove the pipe. The frustration I've experienced in the past is over. There is also the added benefit of a depth gauge on each tool so you can mark your pipe and know you have it completely inserted in the fitting. Great price on a really helpful tool; highly recommended.

    Hello, thank you for feedback regarding the SharkBite PVC IPS Disconnect Clip Set. These disconnect clips are only for SharkBite transition fittings that go on PVC pipe. They will not work with PEX pipe. If you are trying to disconnect PEX pipe, we recommend Home Depot # 100638139 or 206697672.
