It was identical to the QT breaker that I was replacing, except it was a CLR type with a more shallow slot and could not be used in my panel. I will be returning it to the store.

I had a breaker that kept tripping. Swapped out everything inside, and it would still trip. Even with nothing plugged in. I went with Siemens for their long history of quality products. So far, after a week and half, no trips.

The Square D by Schneider Electric QO 20 Amp Single-Pole Tandem Circuit Breaker is intended for overload and short-circuit protection of your electrical system. This breaker offers 2 circuits in the space of just 1 and is compatible with QO load centers, CSED devices, and NQOD panel boards. The ANSI-certified and UL-listed unit is rated for 120/240 VAC and 10,000 AIR. All QO circuit breakers are equipped with the exclusive Visi-Trip indicator. When a QO Visi-Trip circuit breaker trips, the handle snaps to a midpoint position between "Off" and "on" and a highly visible, red indicator easily identifies the tripped breaker. Siemens duplex type QT breakers are a 1/2 in. frame per pole and are suitable for use in Siemens panels that allow CTL type QT breakers. This breaker has a 30 Amp and 20 Amp single pole breakers in one 1 in. housing. Siemens strongly recommends against the use of "used" breakers. The installation of used breakers in a Siemens panel will void the warranty on the panel. Siemens does not sell used breakers and has not approved any 3rd party sellers to do so.
Siemens space saving, plug in circuit breakers are intended for use in Siemens EQ, Siemens Ultimate, ITE and Gould load centers and meter combinations that are rated to accept type QT breakers. Check wiring diagram to confirm. To ensure the warranty on a Siemens panel is not voided, the use of Siemens breakers is required. The duplex breakers provide 2 Single Pole breakers in the space typically required for only one standard breaker. These duplex, 1/2 in. frame breakers are ideal when new circuits are required in a panel that has no available spaces. The non-current limiting breakers are designed for use in Siemens panels manufactured prior to 1968. Siemens type QT dual circuit breakers are 1 in. wide and consist of (2) 1-pole breakers, in varying combinations of ampere ratings from 15 to 30 Amp.
