About This Product

Get powerful illumination for low energy costs with our Simply Conserve 4 ft. Linear T8 LED Tube Light Bulb. This energy-saving LED bulb is ideal for enclosed indoor fixtures. You get a 14-Watt LED light bulb with the equivalent output of a 32-Watt traditional fluorescent light bulb. That's significant energy cost savings for reliable lighting that lasts for 50,000 hours of continuous use. You get the same 1800 Lumen output of a comparable fluorescent tube but free of the yellowing and bending that comes with older T8 bulbs. Hybrid technology makes it compatible with either Type A or Type B installation. The 4 ft. LED bulb can plug and play into an existing compatible ballast for your convenience. On the other hand, you could bypass the ballast and do a direct-wire installation in either single or double-end configurations. Either way, you get an easy setup for durable illumination that lasts for years. Our energy-efficient 5000K LED bulb comes in a full glass housing that allows the unit to run cool with minimal heat output. It's mercury-free for peace of mind, springs to life in less than a second, and it's flicker-free so you will always have steady reliable lighting. Our LED replacement for fluorescent tubes is well-suited to offices, conference rooms, hotels, academic complexes, and commercial and medical facilities. It's RoHS compliant and cULus listed and it comes with a limited 5-year warranty.

Q:Are these LED BULBS shunted or non shunted? Is there continuity between the two prongs on one side of the LED BULB?
      by|Jun 28, 2023
      1 Answer
      Answer This Question

A:  When bypassing the ballast, our lamps require wiring at both ends of the tube. Line voltage on one end, neutral wire connection on the other. This design allows them to work in both shunted and non-shunted sockets. Refer to installation instructions on the product detail page for full details.

Review for Simply Conserve 14-Watt/32-Watt Equivalent 4 ft. Linear T8 Hybrid Type A/B LED
There isn't a whole lot to say about these bulbs other than they work as advertised. They'll fit in any fixture that used to use fluorescent tubes; just make sure you remove the ballast, and these will work fine. They're 5000k, so they're great for a work space, but I wouldn't want them in a living area. The light isn't sickening like fluorescent tends to be, and I'm hoping these will last longer

          Simply energy conservative
These are some very nice replacement bulbs for your light fixtures. You can either use them with your preexisting electronic ballast or you can bypass the ballast all together and its not that hard to either. If you have nver done it before there is a wiring diagram in the box to help you to do that, These 14-watt L.E.D. bulbs will help you save on your electrical bill. I had t 8 32-watt bulbs in my light fixture and when I put the simplly L. E. D. 14 wattt bulbs in they were actually brighter They do give off a very good light and I think you be very pleased with them.

          Simply very good bulbs!
Very easy wiring (no ballast is required, though there is a way to install it with compatible ballasts). Good construction. Diffuser is good. Materials - simple. Installation is simple, however, pay attention to wiring. I did installation without ballast; one end of the bulb needs to be wired to a hot wire and the other to neutral in this case. No ground on the bulb, I grounded the whole assembly. Work perfects. Light temperature 5000 K - cool white (I would choose 4000 or even 3000 K for home next time).

          Nice replacement blubs
These are some nice replacement blubs that work with ballast or not after easy rewiring. The ballast I have in my existing lights do not work with them. But it is a easy fix if you can work with electricity and there are plenty of u-tube video's to show you how. Just turn power off and remove the ballast, cut the blue and red wires loose near the ballast and attach them to the end marked L (line)and the white wires going to the other end that's marked N (neutral), connect the power wires that went to the Ballast usually B and W. Attach the B to the blue and red wires and W to the white wires. Make sure before attaching that the power is coming in on the black wire. They use over 50% less power to give out the same light. Says they will last 15 years at 3 hours a day. Not for use with Dimmers

Simply Conserve 14-Watt 4 ft. Linear T8 Hybrid Daylight LED Tube Light Bulb
I used these to replace the bulbs in a light that had a non-functioning electronic ballast. I removed the ballast and wired them direct as that was the surest way to make the replacement. The tombstones (bulb sockets) were non-shunted but the bulbs are one end Line and one end Neutral. Simple enough to wire as you tie all the wires from one end together and power one side Line and one Neutral. Remember which is which as the bulbs are marked for L and N. I marked the fixture L and N and put the supplied Modification Sticker telling of the conversion. There is no flicker and they are very bright. I like this product and highly recommend it.

          Great Bulbs for Shop Worklights
The 14-watt T8 LED Tube Light Bulbs are the perfect replacement for the standard T-8 fluorescent bulbs typically found the shop light fixtures. I used these LED bulbs in all of the fixtures in my workshop and garage that previously were using T-8 40-watt or 32-watt fluorescent tubes. These LED bulbs installed directly in the fixture without any modifications and worked perfectly, generating plenty of nice bright white light. The bulbs turn on immediately and there is no hum. If there are advantaged to by-passing the ballasts, I will following the included instructions which appear straight-forward (and use the included caution stickers). The bulbs came packed in a Styrofoam lined box with each tube in its own Styrofoam sleeve. These LED bulbs are another great way to cut-down on your electricity usage.

          Not sure about these
The product description says works in most fluorescent fixtures. My ballasts are instant start. I’ve got T12 bulbs but read that T8 bulbs can be used in place of T12. Tried these in my fixtures and they don’t work. I have a friend who is an electrician so I’ll ask him about these bulbs and maybe he can help me out. The directions are above my skill level when it comes to electrical so I’m not going to try to rewrite the fixtures. Was really hoping to replace the old fluorescent bulbs with these brighter more efficient LED bulbs.

We are very pleased with the SIMPLY CONSERVE 14-WATT 4 FT. LINEAR T8 HYBRID A/B DAYLIGHT LED TUBE LIGHT BULB (25-PACK) we recently picked up from HomeDepot. We have used T-8 fluorescent 4 tube light fixtures in our garage. They hum in cold weather and the ballast don't last more than a couple of years. After having replaced ballast some more than once for the 20 fixtures in the shop we decided it was time to get serious with LED based lighting. We are very pleased with the conversion of the light fixtures with removal of the ballast and a quick and simple rewiring. We did a test conversion with the SimplyConserve T8 LEDs and we will purchase more as needed.

I couldn't ask for a better light by Simple conserve. This 14 watt L. E. D. tube puts out a very bright light and it is actually brighter then the T 8 bulbs I took out of my fixture and put theses in. They give off a very bright light and they actually save you energy on your electric bill. They use half the wattage of a t 8 bulb. The T 8 are 32 watt and the L E D bulbs are 14 watt. These bulbs you can bypass the ballast or you can leave it hook up if you want to with these bulbs it really don't matter. This bulb is rated to last 50.000 hours. It is a cool white color. On one of my light fixtures I bypass my ballast to ee how the bulbs would work and they actually work and the next fixture I installed them with a ballast and they work with no problem. I highly recommend these bulbs they are really great bulbs. With these bulbs there is no humming or flickering.
