A:  The specified fasteners for the products noted are as follows: EPC6Z - 0.148" x 3" (*10d), GA1 and GA2 - 0.148" x 1 1/2" (10d) or SD#9x1 1/2 structural connector screw, HU28-2 - 0.162" x 3 1/2" (16d) to the header and 0.148" x 3" (10d) to the joist, MSTA18 - 0.148" x 2 1/2" (*10d) or SD#9x1 1/2 screw. *Note: the nails referenced in your inquiry are 1 1/2" long - be sure the correct nail length is used as listed.     A:  Yes they could be, but these nails are designed for shear strength and are more expensive than regular common galvanized nails, which are suitable for Hardi Siding. Just ensure you thoroughly read the installation guidelines for nailing patterns and depth.
