I don't recall this being rated as "food safe" or anything similar to that. In an absolute emergency, yes I would use it for drinking water as long as it had never been used on something else first like pumping out the sewer tank on an RV. I actually only use mine to drain water from my water softener tank when I need to add new minerals, but at that point the water getting pumped out is not being consumed.
You will need to be at the water source with the handle and red portion of the pump. Add on as much discharge extention as you like. You might have to finsh draing the discharge pipr manually by picking it up higher then the exit point. We have used some plastic sprinkler pipe clamped to the flex hose.
Hi Jim- We recommend flushing the pump with clean water after each use to remove any debris buildup. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us toll free at 800-633-0232 or by email at customerservice@kinginnovation.com
Nope Have to continue to stroke
The Siphon King pump can pump to almost dry. The foot filters sand and dirt so I would recommend continuing to pump until most of the water is gone.
The outside diameter on my hose measures 1 7/16 inches.
it is about 1 7/8 inches in diameter.
In just four strokes this self-priming pump can remove one gallon of water. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Siphon-King-36-in-Utility-Hand-Pump-with-72-in-Hose-48072/205346979?MERCH=REC-_-PIPHorizontal2_rr-_-205346978-_-205346979-_-N
No
May be tiny particles that sneak thru but no stones were pumped out during my use.
