Easy Breakage
2nd purchase. Pump part has poor plastic strength. 2x broke, the newest one lasted a week then broke. Still usable but it will be the last.

Not as good as our first two!
We have had SodaStreams for about five years now, and our first two were this basic model and were excellent. For some reason this basic model has been changed so that there is a metal tip on the "injector" and there is no loud noise to let you know when your water is fully "gassed up." We are finding that this machine does not get our water bubbly enough. Even after six or seven presses. Very frustrating.

We are sorry to hear you don't care for the changes we have made to our sparkling water maker. We did in fact update our machines to have a silent valve based on consumer feedback that they didn't care for the loud noise. When making your beverage if your stream coming from the nozzle is reaching the bottom of your bottle then you are carbonating. If the stream isn't going all the way to the bottom we recommend you call one of our sparkling water specialists at 1-800-763-2258 or email them at SparklingWaterSpecialist@sodastream.com.

Decent product
We bought,the jet model because it holds the largest CO2 bottles. little disappointed because you have to screw the bottles on, other then that it works great.

Refill bottles
Frustrated that the new shaped bottles cannot be used with this machine. I have 4 of the new style bottles and only one of the old style! This does me no good, now I must buy more bottles of the old style!! Frustrating, very frustrated? Otherwise the "Jet" machine works great!

Old one - great; New one - not so much!
I bought my first Jet many years ago (10+) and loved it. After about 8 years it stopped working well so of course I bought another since I loved the first one. Second one only lasted 17 months and completely stopped working. I am now using the old one again with it moderate problems until I can decide what to do.
My suggestion - fix the product so it is as good as it used to be.

Great machine
This is my fourth machine. I keep it in my rv. We hit the road every 5 weeks. My third machine is in my sunroom connect to a 5 gallon bottle that resides under the counter. I use it to make at least two sodas or more a day, for all the guests that are visiting constantly. My second one is in my garage/ craft room with a 130L
bottle attached. I use it when the grand kids or anyone else is napping. They make a lot of noise in a very quiet house so the one in the sunroom is off limits. My first one is resting in peace in a garage cupboard, broken. I was thinking of fixing it for a spare but it got a lot of use in its first 5 years. Maybe it’s time for the rubbish container. I only use the one that accommodates the 130L bottle because the small bottle does not last very long. I only buy the redbull energy from soda stream because they ruined the coke flavor. I buy coke bag in a box syrup that stores at room temperature after it is opened. Torani syrups are great tasting and a really cheap.
