It didnt work for me. I dont remember if i read the directions to be fair though. But i may have. I give up, renting a stump grinder this summer

The hardest part was drilling multiple holes in the cypress stumps. I then filled 6" deep (7/8" Diameter holes) with this product. Added hot water. I will do a second application this week. In late fall I will cover stumps in charcoal briquettes and light. These stumps are only about 3" above ground level and hopefully I'll be able to burn them below ground level. I have a lot of unused top soil I'll spread around the stumps to keep any fire from spreading and a garden hose ready!

Bottle is designed to ease the application of the product as directed. You must drill holes in the stumps for proper application. I applied this to two stumps @ 2-months ago and will re-apply it this weekend. So far, no dramatic visible effects on either of the stumps. Hopefully the re-application will move the process along a bit faster. So far I'm not overwhelmed with the effectiveness.

This product will accelerate the stump decomposition. The stump needs to be dead before applying. Pour approximately 4 oz of Spectracide Stump Remover Granules into each hole. Then fill with hot water to dissolve the granules. Continue to add water to the holes for several days to ensure Spectracide Stump Remover Granules dissolve completely. Didn’t work
I followed the directions exactly on a 6 inch bottle brush stump. I’ve applied the product twice and the only thing I have to show for my efforts is a solid stump with holes in it.
