I sprayed this in my fenced in pet area where I will eventually put down pea gravel after the grass is killed. How long must I wait before I can let my dogs back out in the area where I sprayed this grass killer? I want to be sure my dogs are safe.
Asked by: Rosie
Hello Rosie. We thank you for your inquiry. All of our herbicides and insecticides are safe to use in households with pets. You do need to keep your pets off and out of treated area until the product has completely dried. After dry, the area is completely safe for your pets. The products should also be kept out of your pet's access.

Weed and Grass Killer 1.3 gal. Accushot Sprayer is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 402.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome fast I really like the spectracide weed and grass killer. It worked faster than promised. The weeds that are hard to see in my pictures where dead in less than an hour. It killed fast. The new gun nozzle is awesome for aiming and one of my pictures shows the adjustable wand extension that makes it far easier aiming at my driveway cracks. I pick up a bottle every spring from HD when I see it in the displays and save myself a lot of weed pulling. It has a included battery pump. Just pull the marked tab and pump will work. Don't forget to turn nozzle adjuster like I always do so that it will spray. Love this time saving easy to use sprayer weed killer combo.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Spectracide Weed and Grass Killer - Failed! I live in Arizona, and every spring the weeds return in droves. I bought and used the entire gallon of Spectracide weed killer in my front yard, and it failed in all respects. Very few of the weeds dried up and/or were killed, and my yard is still full of weeds. I would NOT recommend this product at all. It was a waste of my money and time. Tomorrow, the kids and I are going to clear the yard the old fashioned, back breaking way: with a hoe!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the leading competitor I have all 3 major varieties of thistle in my yard. I used the Spectracide vs. the other major leading brand (R**** *p). I had to use the (R**** *p) because I ran out of the Spectracide and the other store only had (R**** *p). Hands down this was better; it was able to affect the weeds, the thistle, and the ground cover were trying to kill. We have about 3 acres and this much more effective. The Spectracide would start to turn the thistle brown in about 8 - 12 hours and it would continue to kill. The other brand would not and required multiple applications to have the same efficacy. Also, Spectracide was cheaper.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I bought this for the value compared to Roundup. This is much cheaper than Roundup. Unfortunate... I bought this for the value compared to Roundup. This is much cheaper than Roundup. Unfortunately, it doesn't work as well or as fast as Roundup. I sprayed this on vines around the house, weeds and grass in some areas around my 1.5 acre lot. Where Roundup works in 24 hours, this product takes up to three days for visible results. I like the AccuShot wand, but even though you can set it to spray or stream, the "spray" doesn't work too well. It is still more of a stream. Maybe the grass, weeds and vines are more resiliant than I thought. I certainly wouldn't buy this product again. I would choose Roundup.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Be aware of the Accushot The product worked for me, and the Accushot is great -- a continuous spray without having to pump and the gun is flexible and accurate. BUT, the Accushot gun died with more than a third of the product remaining. I took it apart and it is battery powered, and the batteries died. Four double-A batteries is what runs the spray gun. But cheapo batteries don't last. And it's not that easy to take the thing apart to change the batteries, and they don't illustrate the battery configuration. I would suggest to the company to design the gun to be able to change the battery. It does no good to have batteries that don't last through the product usage, and the company has refill product available, but what good is that if your batteries are dead? So a great concept that works initially, but quality control is lacking.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just okay I didn't have great luck with this weed and grass accushot sprayer. The product worked great and weeds showed signs of being sprayed a day later. What I didn't like so much was the sprayer. Although not pumping a sprayer seems appealing, this sprayer got foamy clogged easily and took awhile to spray at full speed while it sprayed and foamed sporadically, sometimes hitting the weed and sometimes off to the side. I like the idea and the solution, but I will stick to the old-fashioned pump sprayers. On the positive side, if I sprayed a large area, continuously spraying, it worked much better than spot spraying when the sprayer was off and on, off and on. The solution works great though.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This is the 2nd one and pump still doesn’t work. Got home fired up the battery operated pump. Op... This is the 2nd one and pump still doesn’t work. Got home fired up the battery operated pump. Opened the nozzle. Pull trigger. You hear motor come on. Nothing but drips. If you shake the container very hard while pulling trigger then it starts to spray as expected. Once trigger is let go you have to do the same thing all over agin. Returned it for #2. Pretty much Same thing. So unless you want to look like your haveing a siezure while using this product or getting attacked by a bee, Don’t buy. I’ve used similar items in past with great results. Not sure how I got stuck with 2 bum sprayers. As far as the chemicals, they work great when applied. Very happy on its effectiveness Andrew
