My load center is Serie S1 HOMC30UC, will the CAFCI breaker work? If not, is there another CAFCI ...

Series S1 HOMC30UC is the serial number for the panel cover, not the panel. The number for the panel will be found on the inside. The best way to purchase the correct CFCI is to pull the panel cover and look how the other breakers are mounted (tabs, slots, etc.) Square D made two different mounting styles, (HOM and QO) so just because it is Square D isn't enough, it needs to be the correct style of mount. HOM is normally residential and QO Commercial. You can buy CFCIs for all styles. Make sure your wiring is solid as these things trip very easily.

Is this rated for use with aluminum wire?

Can two cafci single pole sq d breakers share a neutral same as the g e breaker does

Asked by Buckshot2 November 12, 2020
1
Answer

Hello, For 120V circuits that are fed by 1p CAFI, AFI, GFI, DF or EPD breakers, the neutral should NOT be shared between two circuits. Doing so will cause one or both breakers to nuisance trip. The circuits should be wired in such a way that each 120V circuit has its own neutral. Regards, Schneider Electric Customer Care.

can I replace a 15Amp single-pole circuit with a 20amp single_pole circuit breaker

Yes, you can as long as you upgrade the circuit to all #12 wire. Otherwise it would not only be a code violation, but a fire hazard.

I Tested It
Before deciding on the Homeline product, I bought and subjected all the competition to high amperage and short circuit tests. The Homeline did the best especially when it came to over amping.
