This breaker is two breakers in one. That is, it only takes up one breaker "slot", but has two breakers in it. It is optimal for breaker boxes that are full, but you need to install additional breakers. With this, you eliminate 2 breakers that are regular sized and take up one position, allowing you an additional slot for another breaker. It is a Square D Homeline breaker, made by Schneider Electric, who I feel is an above average U.S. company. The breakers are UL listed, a not for profit testing agency (it's not listed by a "for profit" testing agency like so many things these days), so that should give you peace of mind.

Two year life
Not really any choice, if you need it. Mine was installed two years and started tripping unnecessarily. Replaced and now all good so your milage may vary.
