The reason these breaker panels are called "solar ready" is because you can easily add a lug (the SR69064A terminal kit) to the line side connection. Therefore, no back-fed breaker is necessary, and talk about derating the main is irrelevant. However, if you DID want to put in a back-fed breaker, yes you would be allowed up to 40A (20% of the 200A main) as long as it was placed on the opposite end of the bus bar from the main. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCaOu-0yOt4 for demo video.
This panel can be used for overhead connections and underground connections.
You are wasting your money upgrading fro 100-125amp. Labor is the same and usefulness in today’s electric society exponentially better going to a 200 amp panel. You will have more future capacity and space for many more breakers, so more circuits
At the Home Depot: part: HUB-200 for 2” Rigid Conduit.
No. Interior panel clearances are designed for a max 125amps
When working with PG&E in Northern California the minimum meter height is 48 inches to centimeter
Item headline says semi-flush, so unless it's one of those panels that are set up for multiple mounting configurations, I'd guess semi-flush. You may want to just pick up in person to ensure it's the model you need.
yes
40A max, without de-rating the main breaker.
CSED Tunnel Kit is what you need, brings power through the panel shielding it from the breakers
