      Answer This Question

Hi Woods, You might be looking for a breaker that can be backfed, and the HOM250CP or HOM250 can be backfed. But this depends on what panel you are using. Please reach out to us via chat to confirm if you need to use HOM1RK , HOM4RK2LA, or HOM4RK2HA as a retaining kit to backfeed the breaker. This completely depends on what panel you are using. https://www.se.com/us/en/work/support/customer-care/contact-schneider-electric.jsp Warm regards. Schneider Electric Customer Care

              Answer This Question

Hi Wayne! Unfortunately, no. The HOM2100 or any other homeline branch breaker are only UL tested and approved to be used in a Homeline panel. Each manufacturer has it's own UL listings for their specific products based on their specific product line and their specific combination of products. Warm regards. Schneider Electric Customer Care

                Answer This Question

Hi Brook! I am afraid it might not physically fit and it won't pass you from an inspection. Each manufacturer has it's own UL listings for their specific products based on their specific product line and their specific combination of products. A homeline panel is only intended to accept a homeline panel, same goes to other brands. Warm regards, Schneider Electric Customer Care

We were having problems with our furnace shutting down and not starting back up for about a week. We called to get it looked at and no issues were discovered with the furnace itself . I wasn't sure what to do at first after that. I went out to the breaker and flipped the breaker to turn the furnace back on after it shut off by itself again. The breaker wasn't tripping, but thought maybe that was the issue. I have never messed with a breaker replacement so I went online and watched a few videos on breaker replacement. It was actually very easy. Just had to take the faceplate off the breaker box and the old breaker popped out easily. I replaced it with an identical 50 Amp breaker and replaced the faceplate. After flipping the breaker back on I haven't had an issue with my furnace since.

This Square D circuit breaker fits the Older style service...
This Square D circuit breaker fits the Older style service panels, and will not fully engage contacts on the Newer Service Panel, this could lead to a fire. Had to return,(did not fit my later panel, panel installed after 1989) Newer style Breaker is shown on the right. Home Depot should add more pictures to avoid this problem.

                  Added protection and versatile
The added protection of GFCI in a circuit breaker brings peace of mind and easy code compliance. This breaker as multiple wiring options to fit different power feeds and devices. The panel neutral coil is long enough to reach the bar and still be dressed in neatly. A test button makes it easy to check the installation. The handle has clear ON, Trip and OFF positions like most breakers now. It fits in any Square D Homeline panel.

                  Works as advertised
I installed this breaker to protect outlets near a large sink in an out building. It does protrude somewhat higher than the other HOM breakers in my load center but it does not hit the door. You must attach the coiled neutral white wire to the neutral bus in the load center. Otherwise there is no protection and the self test button will not work. You should test the breaker at least once a month for proper operation but I would not test more often since all breaker like this have a finite number of trip cycles before failure. I personally worked for the division in Square D that manufactured the GFCI modules for these. The label on the breaker is now in poor condition because I was not careful in putting the cover back on the box. Mia culpa.

                  Added safety
This is multifunctional double pole GFCI breaker. It can be used on 3-wire 120/240V, two wire 240V or multi-wire circuits. Format is TIPO HOM so it fits on any GE/Siemens panel. The GFCI protection is lightning fast at 10,000 AIR/A nom I, which I measured at 0.05 seconds. It is not 2x single pole, it is balancing load interrupter which adds a layer of protection on double pole circuits that you can only have with the double pole breaker such as this one. At 2x25A this won't be the one for HVAC applications, but perfect for hot tub, or a dryer. In terms of pricing, it is a little expensive, but then you can't really put a price on a life that can be endangered. Those breakers are must have according to code in almost all states and offer excellent quality and protection. It comes in a clam-type packaging, well insulated and totally safe for online ordering. Nothing other than #1 electrical square screwdriver is needed for the installation and the bus clamps are pre-treated with a dab of dielectric grease for better contact and to prevent oxidation of the clamp surfaces.
