Q:Will this box accept a standard 20 amp breaker, 15 amp tandem breaker, and a 15 amp GFCI breaker?
by|May 23, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Hello Craig, The HOM612L100RBCP can accept a tandem breaker in any slot. You can also install a GFI breaker like HOM115GFI (1 pole) or HOM215GFI (2 pole). You might see breakers with the CP suffix, but they are identical to those without it. Warm regards. Schneider Electric Customer Care

Q:Will this enclose fit a GFEP (ground fault equipment protection) breaker to feed an 110v outlet for outdoor gutter heater cabling? The picture is just an example of the breaker type as its similar but used in different application to a gfci breaker

        Answer This Question

A:  Hi, HOM215GFI, HOM220GFI and HOM230GFI breakers can be used in the HOM24L70F, S, or RB load centers due to adequate wire bending space for a maximum #10 AWG wire. This will restrict the HOM-GFI breaker to a maximum of 30 amperes. You can contact us anytime using our chat live https://www.se.com/us/en/work/support/customer-care/contact-schneider-electric.jsp where an agent will be able to give you further assistance on this matter. Works as advertised and the price is right. Make sure you buy the correct breakers as many look alike. This one works with HOM series breakers (made by Homeline). I had an old CH series that looked the same and had the same current/voltage ratings but wouldn't quite fit into the lugs because of a notch in the lug insertion slot. Beware that this is for a 2ph line and has a Null strip. No ground strip. Also opening in front of the box (in the picture) doubles in width by breaking the tab for larger two bank (1in. each) breakers. I bought a HOM quad 2ph 30A which gives me 2x 110v/20A and one 2 pole 220v/30A lines for deck/jacuzzi use. This is the breaker product code: HOMT2020230CP/100210545. Type it in Home Depot search box and it comes up.

I used this box as a subpanel to expand my outdoor electrical feeds. I was able to add a 30 amp circuit for our RV. Knockouts on bottom & sides worked perfectly. There was adequate room for routing 6 gauge wire inside.

Professional look and easy to install. Convenient solution for small single-phase distribution panel. It comes with neutral and ground bars so the only missing part is the hub that have to match the conduit size. If the conduit is coming from the bottom you are good to go. In general, good quality and excellent price.

Loved it and very easy to install and easy to find breakers for.
I installed this as a sub panel and it was pretty easy to install nothing complicated even though i am not an electrician.

It works great - However, it needs to come with a PK4GTA Ground Bar Kit. You have to purchase it separately if used as a Sub-Panel (which would be the primary reason for purchase!).

Load center is pretty good. It is a small switch so putting wire larger than #6 is a challenge.

I purchased this sub-panel as a homeowner DIY with better than average electrical experience. This new replacement Square D 100 amp panel was an easy install and has been in service now for about 6 weeks with no trouble or service issues. As an exterior panel, make sure to order the required and install the 7PKT bus for running circuit grounds. Recommend Only use Square D breakers. GFCI highly suggested.

This is exactly what I had needed, I had a client with an existing panel that was rusted beyond repair ( we are in a salt air environment). And I needed to replace the panel in kind so that the renters were not inconvenienced.

Easy to install but very small, stick with 100A minimum just for space of your wire and hands to work in. Ground bar sold separately
