About This Product

The Square D by Schneider Electric QO 15 Amp Single-Pole Plug-on Neutral Combination Arc-Fault Circuit Interrupting (CAFCI) Circuit Breaker is for use to help protect your wires from arcing faults and is intended for overload and short-circuits protection of your electrical system. Designed for reliability, the QO Plug-on Neutral CAFI Circuit Breaker connects directly to the neutral bar, providing a time and labor-saving installation. QO Plug-on Neutral provides several advantages and among them is fewer connections which lead to faster installation and an innovative neutral jaw eliminates pigtails which in turn frees gutter space. Now standard in all Square D brand CAFCI circuit breakers, Time-Saver Diagnostics provide advanced trip indication technology, helping identify the type of fault that has occurred faster. Time-Saver Diagnostics helps take away the guess work and provides diagnostic assistance by identifying the type of fault that last occurred. It saves money by reducing troubleshooting time, simple to use, accurate and reliable. Square D QO circuit breakers have features no other manufacturer can offer. These types of quality, industry exclusive products keep the Square D brand ahead of the competition and are builders' and electrical contractors' first choice in electrical protection.

Q:What's the power consumption in watts of each of these dual function breakers. They are all warm like the heat from a computer inside the breaker box Thanks.

    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  It's normal that DF (dual function) breakers are hotter than standard breakers because of the electronic components that they have. The electronic module in each breaker consumes 800 mW. This will make these breakers run slightly warmer than standard breakers. Monthly consumption is about 0.6 kWh. Regards, Schneider Electric Customer Care.

      Answer This Question

A:  As long as the subpanel is a QO Plug-on Neutral load center. Those start at 12 spaces and 100A and above.

A:  Hello Derek, If your subpanel is a QO load center, yes you can use it. QO breakers are only UL listed and tested to be used with QO load centers, Warm Regards, Schneider Electric Customer Care

Q:I am looking to purchase a fan switch, specifically a Lutron Maestro Model # MACL-LFQH-WH. In the instructions, there is no common wire wired to the switch, just hot, switched hot and ground. Assuming the internal electronics require power as well, I am concerned about the switch tripping this CAFCI/GFCI breaker. I asked Lutron about this potential issue and they suggested I contact Square D regarding this.

This 20 Amp Breaker is for Light Duty, Pops easy
With the 50 30 amp breakers Needed 28, 20 amp breakers with the delays in construction had No clue these 20 amp Breakers are touchy. Example running lights plug in a saw to cut trim pop. Running lights and computer little girl plugs in a curling iron, Pop. Last plug in the tire Air compressor (small) Pop Pop Pop no matter where you plug it in the wall. After 90 days can't return. So delays in construction leaves more surprises.
