Product Overview
Avoid the inconveniences that an unexpected power outage can cause with this QO Indoor Generator Interlock Kit. The Square D QO Cover Generator and QOM2 Frame Size Main Breaker Interlock Kit is used to direct generator power to any circuit within your home. For use on "G" and "S" Series NEMA 1 and "G" and "S1" Series NEMA 3R load centers. Interlocks a QOM2 2 Pole main circuit breaker of a load center (150-225 A) with a QO 2 Pole (15-125 A) branch circuit breaker. Includes a retaining kit.
- Use to interlock the QOM2 main breaker with a double-pole breaker back fed from a generator
- Indoor unit
- Choose where you want to direct generator power to any circuit within the home
- Does not require a separate generator panel
- Includes an interlock bracket, a retaining bracket, a 1-hole drilling template, 3 hex nuts, three 10-32 shoulder screws and an interior mounting screw
- Wiring diagram and interlock translation labels also provided
- Meets UL and ANSI safety requirements

Simple, not expensive alternative to manual trasfer switch when you know how of adequatly distribute house loads to portable generator.
A safe and inexpensive alternative to installing a manual transfer switch for portable generators to prevent potentially dangerous back feed to the Utility's Electrical Distribution System. It took me about 1 hr to carefully install the manual lockout. Supplied drilling template and instructions were spot on. Operational instructions and decals were clear and concise. Also saved money purchasing from HD rather than local Electrical supply although I ordered from them first and never received a call for pickup. Since I worked on live conductors for a Utility Company splicing up 750 MCM live, I felt comfortable working live but with caution. I don't recommend the same for the everyday DYI person. Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE ) is a must.
