Answer This Question
A:Â I wrote to the manufacture of the fan and got this in return:
We have discontinued these fans. I would recommend calling local stores to inquire if they have any left in stock.
We didn’t discontinue these fans due to a quality issue. Approximately 5 years ago we decided as a company to bring back all of our products to the USA from being made in China. This is one of our last products to bring back and unfortunately we ran out of stock prior to being able to develop an updated model. We expect to launch our updated model sometime in 2021.

I am giving this 2 stars only because I liked the placement and easy install. It is overly loud as almost everyone else here has already said. It moves a decent amount of air for a small fan and will cycle the air in my small office and cool it down given 20-30 mins. However, my unit just died after about 7 months of very limited use in a clean environment.

Quiet fan that works reliably
I bought this fan to install at the beginning of my hallway to move the warm air from my living room (where my pellet stove is) in to the hallway to ultimately the back rooms. It doesn't do that job all that well, but it is a small fan so I cant expect miracles. It is however nice and quiet and will do for now. I have had it for about a month now and run it quite often. I have not had a single problem with it.

Able to run fan on a low speed
Fan is a great option. Easy to install. One problem I have is my fan is mounted on doorway going into back family room. It is a small room and fan is loud. Can I make it a slower and quieter rate.

It does what it's supposed to do, move air. Our first booster fan lasted over a decade, so when it finally burned out, it was nice to find one just like it at HD. This time, I mounted the fan frame to a 1/8 inch foam adhesive pad that was applied to a basement stairwell stud to keep the vibration noise at a minimum. A 120,000 BTU wood/coal stove in the basement heats our home by using a quiet stovetop ducted range vent for downward directed return air flow from our living space. The downward air flow crosses over the basement heater and then gets returned to the upstairs at whatever temp we desire. The basement door has to be cracked open for the system to work well, but that's no problems considering the simplicity of our heating system. It's nice to have a very warm mud room space in the basement, along with this inexpensive and effective heating system.

This fan does not move air as intended, it is very large. Going back to a computer cooling fan.

We are sorry you were not satisfied with our EntreeAir Door Frame Fan. It is a small fan that fits in the door way with a 7" radius. It moves air at 100 cubic feet per minute . It is designed to gently move air from one room to another so that it does not create a breeze but will help equalize temperatures between rooms. Warm air that is moving fast enough to cause a breeze will feel cool on the skin. This is why sitting in front of a fan in warm weather feels cooler because it is generating a breeze.
