Product Overview

TotalPond waterfall pumps have high performance, wet bearing motors capable of moving large amounts of water to create dynamic effects. These powerful motors are energy efficient and are designed for quiet performance so you can enjoy the sounds of flowing water, not the buzz of the motor. All of our waterfall pumps include a pumpshield to protect it from dirt and debris, which will also extend the life of the pump. The 3600 GPH Waterfall Pump is ideal for cascading waters up to 12 ft. in height. It has a maximum pumping height of 19 ft., is compatible with 1-1/2 and 2 in. tubing and comes with a 16 ft. power cord.
  • The 3600 GPH Waterfall Pump is ideal for large waterfalls up to 12 ft. tall.

  • All TotalPond Waterfall Pumps have a back-spitting feature to cool the pump.

  • Pump design allows for simple and quick access to all moving parts; no tools necessary.
  • This pump includes a 16 ft. power cord to allow for flexible installations.

What is te PSI for the 3600 GPH model and how high will it put a fountain spray

Asked by Rickh July 31, 2020

Answer

The PSI is 9 and the max lift is 21 ft. We hope this helps!

Can 1 inch tubing be used with this pump using a reducer? Thats what my pond has now.

I would not try it. The pump is rated for 1.5 or 2 inch. A 1.5 inch is about 225% bigger than a one inch. The smaller the pipe/hose the more head (back pressure) the pump must pump against. Add this to the total head (length and high) this may be more than the pump can handle. If it does work it would run warmer may trip the overload and mostly not last that long.Looking at flow charts a 1.5 inch has more than 200% flow than 1 inch.Hopes this helps

I am using a 24" spillway to create sheet waterfall at a height of 5 feet. Is this pump big enough

Asked by Bobby September 17, 2018
1
Answer

Yes, this pump will work. The basic rule of thumb is that you need 100 GPH of flow for every 1 inch of width for your waterfall to achieve a "Sheet" look. We hope this helps!

Are there any tricks for getting the impeller section to release for removal and cleaning?

Asked by TurtleMommy May 11, 2018
1
Answer

This impeller is held in place by a pretty powerful magnet, so it will take a bit of force to release it, but once it is free from the magnet it should come free very easily. Some people prefer to use pliers to grab the impeller as they are pulling it free. We hope this helps!

Hello, was thinking of getting this pump and running it part time only during the 6 colder months...

It is perfectly fine to use it in this matter; we just recommend storing it in a bucket of water when not in use. This unit already has a three year warranty from the date of purchase. If you purchased that additional 2 years, you would have to check with Home Depot to see when it can be used (such as after when our warranty ends).

How many "kilowatts per hour does this unit news?

Mine drew 192 watts, so 24hrs is 4.6KW One year be 1,681KW my rate is about 12 cents per KW so here it cost me about $201 a year.

pump comes on and then within a few seconds, shuts off

Seems like you either have a weak overload contact in the pump ( need to replace the pump) or the impeller needs to be clean or you have a high discharge head (discharge pipe is crimp? discharge filter clogged??)
