Product Overview

A pond begins with the liner, so we developed a lightweight liner that is ultra-durable and easier to handle. TotalPond's 7 ft. x 10 ft. pond skins Liner is ideal for small ponds. Our engineers designed a liner that weighs 30% less than ordinary 20 mil PVC but is just as strong and flexible. The black liner merges into the pond environment to create a more natural look. Our pond skins Pond Liners are 14.5 mil thick and reinforced with a strong polyester weave placed between the layers of PVC for extra durability. TotalPond's pond skins pond liners have a textured surface to promote positive bacteria growth providing just the right foundation for an environmentally balanced habitat. Our PVC Liners are available in two additional sizes to suit your needs. Our liners are also environmentally safe and non-toxic. Can you cut this material to custom size?

Yes. You can cut the liner with regular scissors easily. Be sure to leave enough margins on the sides as the irregular shape of the pond will use more liner then you thought.

I believe it would work. Your just holding water out instead of in. It is quite durable. I bought my liner a couple of years ago to line my rigid garden pond that cracked.

(What's this)
I am using this liner to repair a small older hard shell pond liner I have in place. The old vinyl? hard liner had developed a mystery leak and would have been a big hassle to take up and dispose of. I have tried patches on this sort of thing before, and they seem to last less than a year and I have to try to patch the patch. This liner is super flexible, it was really easy to work, unlike the old thick liner I have creating a stream watercourse between this pond and a lower one which I remember as being difficult to form and which has stiffened with age. It seems a little thin, but I trust the fiber glass reinforcement between the plies will make it strong enough to hold up. I've walked around in the pond dry and with water in it and I detect no leaks.

Seeds Program Review
(What's this)
Using a pond liner instead of hard plastic pond for my situation was perfect. I was trying to create a weeping fountain rock and it was very difficult to match the size rock that I wanted to use with a hard plastic pond. This liner gave me the flexibility that I needed. I do agree with the other reviews, this liner feels really strong, it also is fairly light ( but I am not sure how important that is) and the black color makes a nice bottom to a normal pond ( again, this did not come in to play for my situation). As you can see, the liner was not visible when my project was completed. Putting some type of underlayment below the liner is a must in my opinion. You can use sand or the actual pond underlayment. I think either of them would work fine.

They want a review now, but you can only give a proper review 10 years after installing the liner. Still, so far, so good. It's flat, water-proof, and has a reinforcing fabric incorporated. The fountain works and the water isn't disappearing, so it's doing what it's supposed to for now.
