About This Product

A complete pond filtration solution! The Complete Filter Kit with Pump is ideal for circulating and filtering water, protecting the included pump from debris, and decorating water in ponds up to 500 gallons. The Complete Filter Kit with Pump’s sturdy, UV-resistant filter box houses and protects against large debris, which rolls off rather than settles on top of the sloped lid. The fountain nozzle aerates and decorates the flow of your water, while the nozzle extension tubes allow you to determine the height of your water display. The diverter valve, when positioned on the nozzle extension tube, gives you the ability to run an additional water feature along with this product, like a spitter, and the swivel adapter allows you to easily adjust the fountain nozzle’s direction. Inside the filter box, the included filter foams and bio-balls biologically clean the water, promoting a healthy ecosystem in your pond. When routine maintenance is needed, the uncomplicated pump design allows for simple and quick access to all moving parts, increasing pump reliability. This all-in-one kit includes a UL-listed energy-efficient 300 GPH pump with 16 ft. power cord and compact UL-listed plug, a filter box with a sloped lid, a coarse filter, a fine filter, 10 bio-balls, a 3-tier fountain nozzle, a diverter valve, 2 extension tubes, a swivel adaptor, and a coupler. The Complete Filter Kit with Pump is supported by a 1-year pump warranty.

Q:Can it be used on a water fountain, that holds about 300 gallons and lift about 6-7'?

Answer This Question

A:  Hello Fran, thank you for your inquiry. The 800 GPH pond pump is a little larger than what you would need in a fountain that size. We would recommend the 500 GPH fountain pump, 52228, that can also push water 7'. We hope this helps! Your TotalPond Water Gardening Specialist, Cindy

This pump replaced a significantly larger, heavy duty pump that had stopped working. I had my doubts about how well it would work, but it was easy to hook up, started right up and has been working 6+ hours a day for two weeks. It has sufficient capability to pump 3' vertically up a 1" PVC pipe that has 4 branches of varying height (1 @ 1', 2 @ 2', 1 @ 3'). It doesn't have the capacity for really massive flow, but more than enough to make a nice display around the rocks in the fountain. Surprised and pleased on how well it works for it's size.

            Good pump
Overall this is a good strong pump. Use it for a whisky barrel fountain. There is a piece if incorrect information on the packaging. It states the threaded part after the flow control valve is 3/4 inch when, in fact, it is 1/2 inch. Other than that, works great.

This is my second pump made by Intertek Geoglobal Partners that is sold under the name Total Pond. The first one, which I bought six years ago, would still be running strong today had I not neglected to clean the filter. I upgraded from a pump producing 560 to one of 800 GPH and have been very pleased with the additional water flow. The pump is extremely well made and simple to install. Having had a number of different pump brands over the past 25 years, I would recommend this pump over all others.

Very easy to put together and also very sturdy as well. I put it in my 250 gallon pond (turtle and fish) and it is working just fine. The only thing is i had to anchor it to a flat brick to keep it submerged by using long twisty ties from the garden section. All in all it is a great product and i am very happy with it.

              Easy set up
We had to move our fish to our new house and needed a quick pool and filter for them - bought a stock tank and this filter kit. Filter kit and pump set up without tools. The power cord is long enough to reach my existing electrical outlet. For your safety, always use a GFCI outlet. "BioBalls" were included in the kit for harboring beneficial bacteria. An adjustable diverter valve was also included in kit to run water to additional item like my turtle "spitter". Works well enough that I am planning to move it to a permanent water feature later on. Water is 14" deep in the picture.

              Showering Fish Pond
This filter and pump will be working 7 days a week 24hrs a day year after year. The last one lasted 4 years and this one has been improved a little. Like the rolled top and the size is perfect for a 85 gallon pond. I was surprised that it only came with the one shower head but I have the other sprayers from the old one that interchange for a variety of sprays. Easy to assemble and easy to clean when the time comes.

              Good Pump
I needed to replace the pump i had in my small pond. I thought this pump would be a good choice. The pump Has 4 suction cups on the bottom of the pump to keep it in place. The cord is a great length at 16 feet long. The pump comes with an attachment that screws on the pump to adjust the flow rate. It takes a 1/2 inch hose that is not included. There is no filter on this pump.I'm a little worried that that may be a problem down the line. As of now there are no issues and I am happy with my choice.

              Good Pump
I am using this pump to supply a spillway waterfall at a small pond. It comes with a water flow control valve for a 3/4" hose, which is great. I have 2 ponds and have used various submersible pumps in the past, and this is the first one of any volume I have gotten with that feature. The power cord is really long. This pond is about 30" deep and the spillway unit is just above the edge of the pond so I don't have a lot of elevation, but it puts out a nice flow of water. The pump is assembled so you can attach the hose, place it, and plug it in. I put mine in a submersible plant basket and covered it with rocks to keep leaves and bigger debris from fouling the intake, but other than that it's ready to go.
