Product Overview

The 1/2 in. Tectite by Apollo Push-to-Connect Tee is the fastest, cleanest and simplest way to join any combination of copper, CPVC, PE-RT and PEX pipe without the use of tools, solder, open flame or glue. Simply insert the pipe to allow the high-strength stainless steel teeth to grip the pipe securely against the specially designed O-ring. Fitting removal and reuse is just as simple using a simple demount clip (sold separately). After assembly, fittings may be rotated for simpler installation in tight spaces. All Tectite by Apollo fittings are approved for use in both potable water and hydronic heating piping systems.
  • Push-to-connect design allows for a simple and fast installation on any combination of copper, PEX, CPVC or PE-RT pipe
  • Constructed of lead free dezincification resistant (DZR) brass for superior reliability and strength
  • Specifically designed to allow transitions between copper, CPVC and PEX to polybutylene pipe
  • Fittings can be rotated after being installed for ease of use in tight spaces
  • Demount clip allows for fitting removal (sold separately)
  • Approved for behind-the-wall with no access and burial
  • Corrosion resistant for greater longevity
  • Maximum working pressure of 200 psi and maximum temperature of 250°F

Failed in under 2 years in a buried supply line to my house. Very disappointed. Never seen a press-on style fitting fail in the real world until today. The body of the union cracked and broke off at the connection point. See pictures! You are not saving money over the shark brand when you have to do the job twice!

I’ve been using these for a few years now with good luck. Just make sure they are fully seated. Sure beats the old flux and solder.

This product is crap! It doesn't slide on all the way and needs to hammered on and it won't slide of unless hammered. Shark Bite products are way better. That's why I will go somewhere for Shark Bite products.

Needed to connect pex to copper and add a valve for an ice maker. It took longer to drain the water, than it took to connect the pipes.
