A:  Use a 8 millimeter hex key put it in the bottom Of the shark bit and twist you have to Untwist the plastic washer ring first

        by|Sep 11, 2023

A:  First, twist the caps off of the threaded end of the valves. Then, unscrew the white washer on the male threads. This should release the valves. Next, poke both holes out of the top/bottom of your outlet box. Last, reconnect the valves. If you have further questions, please give us a call at 888-229-2874.

Home Depot has the wrong picture posted. This is the incorrect placement of the drain and valves. The item number is correct, but if you Google it the correct item is not what is shown. I had to change the date for my plumber. Please update this picture Home Depot.

LOVE IT. Bought it with expectation of attaching it unto old copper lines, but found those were part of a crappy plumbing job. Ended-up with SharkBite compression fittings, then some PEX into this box. Worked perfectly. Couldn't be happier. It was my first experience with compression fittings, and I'll say this- Once you press them in tight, press them again. That is not directed at the Tecite box- I'm saying that about all compression fittings. Give them one more firm press....

Box is a little small for the valves. Other than that works great.

                Don't buy
Save yourself some aggravation and a potential disaster. I installed this 3 years ago, and while it has worked fine, last night when I went to turn the valves on to do a wash, the hot water valve broke off and water was spraying everywhere. The push-connect part is fine, but the upper portion just came away, with the simple twist of the handle. The cold water valve seems fine, but I suspect that it's on its way. I'm going to replace tonight with a different brand.
